  • Space Shuttle Launch STS 135

On 8th July 2011 it was One Last leap and was something like saying goodbye to an old friend. There were tears and cheers at the last liftoff. An estimated one million, they came

from around the world, gathered to watch the history. For all of them,

the final space shuttle launch was as exciting and emotional as it was

sad. Above and Beyond: Three decades of flying the versatile space shuttle have yielded

triumph, tragedy and a far deeper understanding of both our own

planet and the vast universe. With STS 135 as shuttles final mission, its clear that we may never again see anything like it. Though Saturn was epitome of rocketry and V-2 rocket is considered

as grandfather of worlds rocketry, Space Shuttle is a wonderful machine ever built by man!

members, the Space Shuttle program is leaving a legacy highlighted

by historic accomplishments and awe-inspiring achievements. For

135 missions over more than 30 years, the space shuttle has served the

nation with honor and distinction. For three decades .NASAs Space Shuttle lifted the worlds imagination, redefined human space flight and made the International Space Station a reality. It has transported

hundreds of astronauts, been an orbiting science laboratory and
