DESCRIPTION
This year, 2011 celebrates the hundredth anniversary of the « discovery » of the Macchu Picchu » by the American explorer, Hiram Bingham. In July 1911, he revealed the existence of the Inca city to the international scientific community. It has since been discovered that the citadel was actually found by a Peruvian peasant names Agustin Lizàrraga, nine years earlier, in 1902. One century later, the majesty of the splendid city built by the Incan, Pachacutec, is intact. It is one of the genuine wonders of the world… Text on request
