“Wildlife as canon sees it” (la vie sauvage vue par canon)* first, there is the obvious meaning: Canon is a camera brand, which sells cameras, zoom and photography devices; so this title highlights the fact that the Canon camera that took the picture shows wildlife, here otters and that it’s a good camera (thanks to the Eos system). It is an ad that is supposed to incite the reader to buy their cameras.* the second meaning of the title is the commitment and Canon's interest in wildlife, it shows their point of view and what is happening to wildlife. Dans le 2nd sens, "see" est à prendre au sens de la "vision", c'est-à-dire la "philosophie" de Canon en matière de protection de l'environnement. * "Eos" / Why it is appropriate: Eos is the winged goddess of the dawn, she opens the gates of Heaven for the sun to rise, which makes us think of the cameras and their lenses when the aperture to take a shot. She is also the goddess of the dawn, that is to say nature when it wakes up in the morning, animals, flowers, etc. which makes us think of the otters shot by a canon camera. Gerard Lacz is a wildlife photographer. He created a photography agency in 1989, which he sold in 2004 before leaving in order to travel all around the world and take photos. He is the person who took the otter photograph in the document, though he didn’t write the text at the bottom. Add that if he had, he would certainly be credited for it, just as he is being credited for taking that picture.
