A system that automatically acquire data, monitor and control the traffic light. The MATRICS can control and monitor the traffic light at more than 100 junctions in Istanbul, Turkey. It can also produce the statistic of traffic pattern and can prolong the on time for green light as necessary. The control can be done automatically by PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and sensor located at site, or can be control by operator at control room. The system has been installed in Turkey for their traffic light management system.
