Detection of Cancer Cells During Radical Gastric Cancer
Surgery: Intraluminal, Intraperitoneal and from Surgical
Specimen - Han T et al, Seoul National Univ. Coll. Medicine - Korea
N: 42 ptes – nov 07- sept 08
IntraLuminal: + 14 L0 + 17 L1
Peritoneal: mRNA CEA level : P1 > P0
Specimen: S1 > S0
These results suggested that during radical surgery for gastric cancer:
1-Prevent spillage of gastric contents
2- Careful sealing of lymphovascular pedicles to minimize potential
cancer cell spillage especially in advanced gastric cancer.
8th IGCC - 2009
• Intraluminal (L) – lavado gástrico antes (L0)
versus depois gastrectomia (L1)
• IntraPeritoneal (P) – lavado da cavidade
depois da laparotomia (P0) versus antes
fechamento (P1)
• Specimen cirúrgico – lavado intacto (S0)
versus com as ligaduras linfovasculares
abertas (S1)
• Análise citológico por RT-PCR
