Overview:The PS-HDTC24-R is a low voltage High Definition PassiveInfrared (HDIR) and Ultrasonic (US) Presence Sensor designedto work with any PerfectSense power pack, to automaticallycontrol lighting in applications where minor motion is domi-nant and a dual technology sensor is necessary. Utilizespatented industry best HDIR infrared sensing technology (864field of view points) that provides superior micro-movementdetection. Dual Form C Relays are present on the sensor toallow for integration to NexLight’s 2-wire system andHVAC/BMS Systems. The sensor turns the lights on and keepsthem on while occupancy is detected and will turn the lightsoff after the delayed-off time has expired.
Operation:Single-tech Mode: Only one technology (dip switch select-able) is active in this mode. Motion detection by the selectedtechnology will turn ON the lights as well as keep them ON.When motion is not detected, the lights will turn OFF after thedelayed-off time.
Multi-tech Mode:Mode 1: Switch A1 is OFF and Switch A2 is OFF: PIR detectionwill turn lights ON in this mode, motion detection by eithertechnology will keep the lights ON. If neither technologydetects motion, the lights turn off after the delayed-OFF time.Mode 2: Switch A1 is OFF and Switch A2 is ON (this is thedefault mode): Detection by either technology will turn thelights ON as well as keep them ON. If neither technologydetects motion, the lights will turn OFF after the delayed-OFFtime.
Walk-Through Mode: useful when a room is momentarilyoccupied, like a storage area, When a person enters the room, the lights turn on. If the person leaves the room before the 2.5minute walk-through timer expires, the sensor will turn thelights OFF. If the person stays in the room longer than 2.5minutes the sensor will proceed to standard operation.
Daylight Sensor: The integrated daylight sensor allows forambient light override functionality. If this setting is enabled, the controlled lighting load will only turn on if the ambientlight present is less than the preset level.
LED Indication: The integrated LED indication lights will flashwhen motion is detected. This can be disabled using the LEDDisable switch setting in the control console of the sensor. ARed flash indicates motion sensing by HDIR, while a Greenflash indicates motion sensing by Ultrasonic.
Features:• 1000 sq ft range• Patented HDIR 8-element Sensor• 864 Optical Field-of View Pattern• Dual Technology• Single Technology selectable• 360° Coverage Pattern• Superior RF immunity• Adjustable Time Delay (30 sec – 30 min)• Walk-Through Mode• Daylight Override Mode• Mounts in drop ceilings and solid ceilings• LED indication of occupancy sensing

Factory default setting is disabled. If installedlocation calls for the use of daylight sensor this isthe adjustment for control of required ambientlight levels necessary to disable the automaticON control of the sensor when detecting occu -pancy. NOTE: The daylight sensor function is notapplicable in rooms using manual ON control.
All aspects of sensor operation can be adjusted here.View of adjustments when cover is removed. DipSwitch setting table below illustrates how to enableand disable sensor functions.
Each time motion is detected, the lights remainactivated for a pre-set time, which is set by theOff-time adjustment. The fully counter-clockwisesetting (30seconds) can be used for testing. Ifmotion is detected during the ON time, the timerresets and lights will remain on until the full

Sensor Technology ComparisonHDIR technology significantly surpasses known boundaries of IR sensor technology. Extending the capability of IR to newlevels of accuracy through a combination of patented sensor hardware and logic algorithms. The power behind this innova-tion originates from a proprietary 8-element pyros infrared element that eclipses current competitive sensor logic technolo-gies. Eight-Hundred and Sixty-Four (864) optical view patterns are achieved, delivering unmatched sensitivity for minormotion events like hand and finger movements. Paired with ultrasonic technology for a complete solution designed to meetthe demands of Title 24 and ASHRAE 90.1.
DETECTION AND ACTIVATION:When a person enters a room, the sensor detects major body motion and turns the light on. The light is kept on even as smaller body movement is detected. This sensor’s detection sequence logic (DSL) minimizes false triggering by continuously analyzes the motion detection signal and adjusts internal operation to maximize the
and electrical noise.
DESCRIPTION:
OPERATION OF SENSOR
Test Mode: This mode is used to set the Delayed-OFF Time to 5 seconds for
while in test mode. 1. Ensure Power is On 2. Remove the cover from the Operation Control Console
defaulted to the OFF position.
4. To enter Test Mode, move the switch from OFF to ON and then back to OFF. IF B3 is already in the ON position, test mode can be entered by just moving it back to the OFF position.

Delayed-OFF Time: The sensor is designed to turn the lights OFF if no black twist knob designated for timer inside the control console. Dependent upon environmental conditions and occupancy patterns, the adapting patterns will modify the delayed-OFF time to match the parameters of each installation.

Delayed-OFF Time Adjustment: Each time motion is detected, the load remains activated for a pre-set time, which is set by the Delayed-OFF Time Adjustment, The fully CCW setting (30 seconds) can be used for testing. The fully clockwise setting is 30 Minutes. If motion is detected during the ON time, then the load remains activated until the full ON time has passed since the latest motion detection.d.
