AGRICULTURAL USE REQUIREMENTSUse this product only in accordance with its labeling and with theWorker Protection Standard, 40 CFR part170.Thisstandardcontainsrequirementsfortheprotectionofagriculturalworkersonfarms,forests,nurseries,andgreenhouses,andhandlersofagriculturalpesticides.Itcontainsrequirementsfortraining,decontamination,notification, and emergency assistance. It also contains specific instructions and exceptions pertaining to thestatementsonthislabelaboutpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE)andrestricted-entryinterval.TherequirementsinthisboxonlyapplytousesofthisproductthatarecoveredbytheWorkerProtectionStandard.

GENERAL INFORMATIONPendiPro 3.3 EC isaselectiveherbicideforcontrollingmostannualgrassesandcertainbroadleafweedsastheygerminate.Refer toTable 1 foracomplete listofcontrolledweeds.PendiPro 3.3 ECwillnotcontrolestablishedweeds.Unusuallycold,excessivelywet,orhotanddryconditionsthatdelaygerminationorextendgerminationoveralongperiodoftimecanreduceweedcontrol.Over-applicationcanresultincrop-standloss,cropinjury,orsoilresidues.Unevenapplicationorimpropersoilincorporationcandecreaseweedcontrolorcausecropinjury.Soilincorporationdeeperthanrecommendedcanreduceweedcontrol.Seedlingdiseases,coldweather,excessivemoisture,shallowordeepplanting, loworhighsoilpH,highsoilsaltconcentration, or drought can weaken seedlings and plants and increase the possibility of crop damage fromPendiPro 3.3 EC.Undertheseconditions,cropyieldscanbereduced.Table 1. Preplant Incorporated Applications:ApplyPendiPro 3.3 ECandincorporateintotheupper(1inchto2inches)soil surface up to 60 days before planting. Use an implement capable of giving uniform incorporation; two-passincorporationusuallyresultsinamoreconsistentresult.

If liquid fertilizer/herbicide(s)mixtureseparates in thespraytank,cloggedequipmentandunevenapplicationcanresult. Always predetermine the compatibility of PendiPro 3.3 EC alone or with other herbicides based on thefollowingcompatibility“jar test”:1. Add1pintoffertilizertoaquartjar.2. Managing Off-Target MovementSPRAY DRIFTAvoidingspraydriftattheapplicationsiteistheresponsibilityoftheapplicator.Theinteractionofmanyequipment-andweather-relatedfactorsdeterminesthepotentialforspraydrift.Theapplicatorandgrowerareresponsibleforconsideringallthesefactorswhenmakingdecisions.Itistheresponsibilityoftheapplicatortoavoidspraydriftontonontargetareas.The following drift management requirements must be followed to avoid off-target drift movement from aerialapplicationstoagriculturalfieldcrops:1. Thedistanceoftheoutermostnozzlesontheboommustnotexceed3/4thelengthofthewingspanorrotor.

2. Nozzlesmustalwayspointbackwardparallelwiththeairstreamandneverbepointeddownwardsmorethan45degrees.

SWATH ADJUSTMENTWhen applications are made with a crosswind, the swath will be displaced downwind.Therefore, on the up anddownwindedgesofthefield,theapplicatormustcompensateforthisdisplacementbyadjustingthepathoftheaircraftupwind.Swathadjustmentdistanceshouldincreasewithincreasingdriftpotential(higherwind,smallerdroplets,etc.).

WINDDriftpotential is lowestbetweenwindspeedsof2 to10mph.However,many factors, includingdropletsizeandequipment type,determinedriftpotentialatanygivenspeed.Applicationshouldbeavoidedbelow2mphdue tovariablewinddirectionandhighinversionpotential.NOTE:Localterraincaninfluencewindpatterns.Everyapplicatorshouldbefamiliarwithlocalwindpatternsandhowtheyaffectspraydrift.

TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITYWhenmakingapplicationsin lowrelativehumidity,setupequipmenttoproducelargerdropletstocompensateforevaporation.Dropletevaporationismostseverewhenconditionsarebothhotanddry.

TEMPERATURE INVERSIONSApplicationsshouldnotoccurduringa temperature inversionbecausedriftpotential ishigh.Temperature inversionsrestrictverticalairmixing,whichcausessmallsuspendeddropletstoremaininaconcentratedcloud.Thiscloudcanmoveinunpredictabledirectionsduetothelight,variablewindscommonduringinversions.Temperatureinversionsarecharacterizedbyincreasingtemperatureswithaltitudeandarecommononnightswithlimitedcloudcoverandlighttonowind.Theybegintoformasthesunsetsandoftencontinueintothemorning.Theirpresencecanbeindicatedbygroundfog;however,iffogisnotpresent,inversionscanalsobeidentifiedbythemovementofsmokefromagroundsourceoranaircraftsmokegenerator.Smokethatlayersandmoveslaterallyinaconcentratedcloud(underlowwindconditions)indicatesaninversion,whilesmokethatmovesupwardandrapidlydissipatesindicatesgoodverticalairmixing.

SENSITIVE AREASThispesticideshouldonlybeappliedwhenthepotentialfordrifttoadjacentsensitiveareas(e.g.residentialareas,bodiesofwater,knownhabitatforthreatenedorendangeredspecies,ornontargetcropsorplants)isminimal(e.g.whenwindisblowingawayfromthesensitiveareas).

AdditivesSprayadjuvantshave littleorno influenceonperformanceofPendiPro 3.3 EC whenapplicationsaremadepriortoweedemergence.However,severaltankmixeswithPendiPro 3.3 EC requireadjuvantstoimproveburndownofemergedweeds.Therefore,surfactants,liquidfertilizer(28%,30%,or32%UAN(ureaammoniumnitrate)orammoniumsulfate),orcropoilconcentratemaybeusedwithPendiPro 3.3 EC tankmixesappliedpreplant,preemergence,orearlypostemergencetothecrop.Followtheadjuvantrecommendationsonthetankmixpartner’slabel.Whenanadjuvant(oraspecificadjuvantproduct,suchasadriftcontrolagent)istobeusedwiththisproduct,theuseofaChemicalProducersandDistributorsAssociation(CPDA)certifiedadjuvantisrecommended.TherecommendedadjuvantsmustcontainingredientsacceptedbytheEPA.

Fill the container about 10% full with water. Agitate vigorously or recirculate water with the pump for 2 minutes. Pour or pump rinsate into application equipment or rinsate collection system. Repeat this rinsing procedure two more times. When this container is empty, replace the cap and seal all openings that have been opened during use; return the container to the point of purchase or to a designated location. This container must only be with a pesticide product. DO NOT reuse the container for any other purpose.
