    Course OverviewThis one-day conference for hearing healthcare professionals will address the assessment and management of children with mild hearing loss. Presenters will share research, best practice guidelines and outcomes of patients with mild hearing loss. Case studies highlighting patients with mild hearing loss from diagnosis through hearing technology recommendations and aural rehabilitation will also be discussed.

    General InformationThe registration fee is $75 (professionals) or $55 (full-time students).

    Course Objectives • Describe how timely diagnosis and implementation of hearing technology improves longitudinal

    outcomes for children with mild hearing loss

    • List three benefits associated with consistent use of hearing technology on the language development of children with mild hearing loss

    • Define listening effort as it pertains to school-aged children with mild hearing loss

    • Define cognitive bias and identify how it can impact the diagnosis and management of mild hearing loss

    • Summarize the implications of the emerging OTC hearing aid market on pediatric audiology

    Cancellation and Refund PolicyChildren’s Hospital of Philadelphia reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to any unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation or postponement, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia will refund any registration fees, less a $40 service charge, but is not responsible for any related costs, charges or expenses to participants, including cancellation charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies. In order to process refunds for course withdrawals, cancellation must be received in writing by Monday, March 1, 2021. No refunds will be issued thereafter.
