Accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC, established in the year 1998 is truly a picture of modernization offering learner-centric programmes in Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture & Management. University is sprawled over a vast campus of 241.4 acres, marching towards development into a center of excellence in the arena of Technical Education, Research and Innovations. Under its umbrella there are 05 UTD's 188 affiliated Engineering Colleges, 69 Pharmacy Colleges, 25 MCA Colleges and 05 Architecture colleges imparting Graduate level instructions running 23 under graduate level courses & 84 post graduate level courses. Situated amidst an aesthetic and hilly surrounding, the University is also offering Ph.D. in eight faculties. RGPV has been selected by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) as one of the Affiliating Technical Universities (ATUs) among ten across the country for receiving TEQIP-III grant. The main objective of Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is to improve quality and equity in engineering teachers in order to up-grade the knowledge, enhancing research and teaching skills.

Course Objective
The main objective of the programme is to discuss the new topics introduced in the syllabus as well as to refresh some of the existing concepts.
Teaching of mathematics to engineering students is an open ended problem in education. The main goal of mathematics learning for engineering students is the ability of applying a wide range of mathematical techniques and skills in their engineering classes and later in their professional work. Most of the undergraduate engineering students and faculties feels that no efforts and attempts are made to demonstrate the applicability of various topics of mathematics that are taught thus making mathematics unavoidable for some engineering faculty and their students. The lack of understanding of concepts in engineering mathematics may hinder the understanding of other concepts or even subjects. However, for most undergraduate engineering students, mathematics is one of the most difficult courses in their field of study.
Most of the engineering students never understood mathematics or they never liked it because it was too abstract for them and they could never relate to it. A right balance of application and concept based teaching can only fulfill the objectives of teaching mathematics to engineering students. It will surely improve and enhance their problem solving and creative thinking skills. Following topic to be covered:

The objective of the course is to enhance knowledge, research, teaching skill and up gradation of pedagogy educational technology. The main objective of the programme is to discuss the new topics introduced in the syllabus as well as to refresh some of the existing concepts.
Course will boost the development of the new technology and methodology in modern teaching learning process in applied mathematics and many engineering fields to greater heights. The participants will be able to get a good understanding of the functional knowledge towards the developments in the field of applied mathematics, engineering and science.
In this FDP, some practical methods of making mathematics-learning applications for engineering students will be discussed. Efforts will be made to understand the current state of teaching mathematics in engineering colleges. While explaining the weaknesses and powers of the present teaching approach, some reasons for the unpopularity of the math subject will be analyzed and some practical suggestions will be given. Institute of Engineering & Science, IPS Academy, is one of the premier institutes in the Central India region, with 71 courses in the field of science and technology. The institute of Engineering and Science, IPS Academy established in the year 1999 offers UG Program in EC, CE, CM, CSE, EX (All Five NBA Accredited), also offers UG Program in FT & SE and ME.
