DJ Maniace doesn't like being a real estate broker--she loves it. Passionate about her work and devoted to her clients, she has been in the business of buying and selling homes for 16 years. In that time she has delighted in discovering gems for eager buyers and conveying the beauty and allure of her sellers' homes. Better yet for DJ is what happens after the closing: Her clients often become life-long friends who will not hesitate to call her with questions about that home warranty they bought and suddenly need or the best hairdresser in town or a copy of a closing statement or who to call for a painting estimate or if she can come to their 10th wedding anniversary celebration. DJ is always surprised and gratified that former clients continue to look to her, often years after the fact, for advice, counsel, and fellowship.
Active in her profession, DJ is the 2009 Past President of the Durham Regional Association of Realtors. Before becoming president, DJ served on the DAR's grievance and legislative/political affairs committee and was elected to the positions of treasurer, secretary, vice-president and President Elect. In 2007, DJ was chosen to attend the North Carolina Association of Realtors Leadership Academy, an honor bestowed on only twelve realtors each year from across the state of North Carolina. In her spare time, DJ
plays a mean game of tennis, a less impressive round of golf, hikes in the woods, devours women's basketball, and loves to travel and surround herself with her ten grandchildren.

Hal is a native North Carolinian who was born in Durham but has lived most of his life in North Chatham County. After a career in the US Army, during which he served as an Infantry Officer as well as a fixed and rotary wing aviator, Hal returned to North Carolina where he and his father built the home where he, his wife Susan, and their three dogs currently reside. Since completing his military career, Hal has built and operated a successful convenience store/sporting goods business, which was followed by 18 years of flying as an airline pilot. He is also a North Carolina Licensed General Contractor. Hal’s endeavors in various fields have demanded strong commitments and dedication. One, most notably, is to do his best to remain physically fit. He is an avid runner and commits himself to completing an exercise regimen each day, rain or shine.
