See it in Abraham and Lot in Gen13 Now the land was not able to support them, that

they might dwell together, for their possessions

were so great that they could not dwell together.And there was strife between the herdsmen of Abrams livestock and the herdsmen of Lotslivestock So Abram said to Lot, Please let there

be no strife between you and me, and betweenmy herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we arebrethren. Gen.13:8-9

Strife is always the result of disobedience The mouth of a good person is a deep, life -

giving well, but the mouth of the wicked is adark cave of abuse. Hatred starts fights, butlove pulls a quilt over the bickering. You'll findwisdom on the lips of a person of insight,but the shortsighted needs a slap in the face

Kick out the troublemakers and things willquiet down; you need a break from bickeringand griping Pr.22:10

And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot hadseparated from him: Lift your eyes now and lookfrom the place where you are northward,southward, eastward, and westward; for all theland which you see I give to you and yourdescendants forever. And I will make yourdescendants as the dust of the earth; so that if aman could number the dust of the earth, then

your descendants also could be numbered. Arise,walk in the land through its length and its width,for I give it to you. Gen.13:14 -17

Getting rid of Lot was vital to Abraham beingable to SEE what he needed to SEE!

The name Lot in the Hebrew means: veil Many of us cannot see because we have

been dragging Lot around with us and it hasus blinded to spiritual realities that only theHoly Spirit can and will reveal when we stepout in complete obedience to God.

The problem is not where we have been, norwhere we are going, but HOW we have beenand WHO we have been

Key principle: #1 How you leave is how you enter We spend our whole life entering and leaving

but we just dont get the fact that God is asmuch concerned with WHAT we are becomingas WHAT we are doing
