These powders are used to l ocate surface and slightly subsurface discontinuities in ferrous structures COMPOSITION: The dry Magnetic powders are composed of selected Magnetic Powders and Pigments APPLICATION : Typical application includes welds and castings, and also where rough surfaces are e ncountered SAFETY: - 8A RED is intended for industrial use by qualified personnel only. - 8A RED can irritate eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and breathing of powder dust. - Wear protective hand wear ,safety goggles and dust mask. - Store in closed container in a dry location. - Material Safety data Sheet available on request. TYPICAL PROPERTIES (Not a Specification): Form Red granular powder Particle Size 180microns SAE Relative Sensitivity 7 METHOD OF APPLICATION: Our dry method,non –fluorescent Magnetic Particles may be dispensed by the powder Spray Bulb ,a plastic squeeze bottle, or a powder blower. The powder must be applied while magnetiz ing current is on. If there is considerable background build up, the excess material can be gently blown off while the current is flowing. Should the material have a high retentivity, surface discontinuities can be detected after the current shot.
