PDMP & Health IT IntegrationAll-Hands Meeting
January 6, 2015
Meeting Etiquette
• Remember: If you are not speaking keep your phone on mute
• Do not put your phone on hold – if you need to take a call, hang up and dial in again when finished with your other call– Hold = Elevator Music = very frustrated speakers and
participants
• This meeting, like all of our meeting is being recorded– Another reason to keep your phone on mute when not
speaking
• Feel free to use the “Chat” feature for questions, comments or any items you would like the moderator or participants to know.
NOTE: This meeting is being recorded and will be posted on the Meeting Artifacts Wiki page after
the meeting
From S&I Framework to Participants:Hi everyone: remember to keep your phone on mute

Appriss Environments
Appriss maintains two environments for PMP Gateway and PMP Interconnect. Production (Prod) – PMP Gateway Prod connected to PMPi Prod and can only be used by
production state PMPs. Environment has 26 state PMPs connected (Several more states in various stages of onboarding).
J̶ Business agreements between Healthcare entity (Hospital, Clinic, or Pharmacy) and Appriss must be in place before use of this environment.
Preproduction Test Environments (Prep) - PMP Gateway Prep connected to PMPi Prep and can only be connected to state test PMPs.
J̶ Business agreements with Appriss are not needed for use of this environment. J̶ Wisconsin and Kentucky have test PMPs connected to this environment.J̶ Appriss also has a test PMP connected to the environment that can be used for testing.

Agreements in Place in PMP Ecosystem.
PMPs
State PMPs have MOUs in place with PMP InterConnect.
A contract is in place between Appriss/PMP Gateway and NABP/InterConnect.
Healthcare entity must have a contract in place with Appriss/PMP Gateway.
PMPs
PMPs
• This model facilitates streamlining of contracts. Example of this model of contracts is already in place with a Wisconsin implementation.
• However, states may have specific requirements that may require additional agreements to be in place, directly with the state.
• This is natural in the early days of opening up the data to be consumed through diverse health IT systems
Current Status
NCPDP API documentation and credentials to test with PMP Gateway have been provided to the below vendors:̶J Epic̶J Dr. First̶J NextGen̶J PAST
Test transactions have been sent to PMP Gateway in NCPDP format end-to-end through Appriss Prep test systems. PMP Gateway – PMP InterConnect – Appriss Test PMP.
Recently updated API to return ReleatesToMessageID
Next Steps End-to-end testing with external test pilot PMPs. (Testing with Wisconsin or Kentucky?) Define product pilots and get business agreements in place with Healthcare entities
that will pilot in production. Appriss to begin designing ASAP WS API.
Discuss Production Pilots
Please contact Brad Bauer and Clay Rogers to discuss business agreements for production pilots.

Next Steps
• All PDMP Community Meetings going forward will be pilot working session meetings– We will use the first 10 minutes of the call to update the
community on activity and then open the floor to a working session
• The focus of these calls after community updates will the actual pilot sites and the pilot team members – community is welcome to observe and when appropriate suggest solutions
– Pilot teams working with the NCPDP 10.6 standard will continue to report out on their progress.
