Kindergarten through third grade decided to celebrate in many different ways. In kindergarten, both of the classes collected 100 cans of food to donate to a local food pantry. They also walked 100 steps through the building to see where it took them, and they ended up in the gym. They did 100 exercises, and read a book about the 100 th day of school. They also drew pictures of themselves and crumpled them up to see what they would look like when they are 100 years old. As a snack, they ate 100-calorie snacks and 100% juice. They also counted to 100. In first grade, they made 100 day hats, typed to 100 on the computer, and had centers based on 100. In second grade, they found different ways to count to 100 and read a book about the 100 th day of school. They also read a poem that had 100 words. In third grade, they made “Fruit Loop” necklaces and had centers based on 100. It looks like all of the kids had fun learning about the 100 th day of school, and the number 100. –Casey Walter

5th Grade Pottery

On January 20th, 5th grade students made coil/pinch pots for art class. The pots look fantastic. The coil pots had to be made in thin rolls of clay put into a circle. The pinch pots were clay pinched into a circle. After the pots dry the students will paint the pots with designs and in various colors. Thank you Mrs. Reinhard for doing this fun project with us. -Cassandra Holbrook
