HEART OF GOLD!
The heart of gold award is published in each edition.
This is a list of staff who have had a special mention
from a service user or their family. The carer who
wins the heat of gold proves their standard of work
and their compassion, which hasn’t went unnoticed.
All nominees received by the company are put into
a draw and chosen fairly. The winners receive a gift
voucher from the company in recognition for the posi-
tive contribution they have had to a service
user, and/or family members. The nominees for the
next Heart of Gold award will be announced in the
next edition of Hazelhead-Headline.

Summer Time
The sun is out & so are we
Everyone is happy & full of glee
Gardens getting fixed
Cocktails in the mix
This is Scotland so we need to panic sun-
bathe
Because we all know the sun comes in a
wave
Tops off for twenty, relax now that’s plenty
Cool the Irnbru
Pour a little coca cola too
Scottish summers are very fast
Before you know it the rains in mass
Nevertheless we all love summer
But when the sun leaves it a real big bummer

CARE AWARDS 2017
The Scottish Care at Home Awards is such a significant date, as they repre-sent a worthy cause for celebrating those who work so hard to provide care for those in need. The homecare industry represents those dedicated to giv-ing to others and providing outstanding services to enable those to live as
independently as possible.
Everyone attending the awards were enjoying the party atmosphere & celebrating alongside all the care companies and individuals who won awards. The last award of the evening categorised as “Significant Achievement” award. This award has no finalists; the award goes to one individual to celebrate their dedication, achievements & hard work. The award is almost unknown & classified as a surprise & the award could be given to any one individual across the home-care board.
As the announcer was describing the winner and detailing the winners home loca-tion, university degree, it was becoming more and more apparent that the award was going to no other than Gina Fordyce, Hazelhead’s Operations Director.
It is safe to say we are all so proud of Gina & couldn’t think of a better person for
the award to belong too. So a massive congratulations to Gina!!!
Hi, my name is Claire. I would like to introduce
myself as the new East
Ayr Coordinator .
