Wendy’s High School Heisman Program If you’re one of the 1.4 million high school athletes across the country that excels in the classroom, on the field, and within your school and community, apply now. To achieve award eligibility for the 2015 Wendy’s High School Heisman Program, students must be seniors during the 2015-16 academic years, graduating with the class of 2016. Applicants must have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of a B (3.0) or better and be a leader in school and in the community by serving as a role model for underclassman. Applicants must participate in at least one of 27 eligible school-sponsored sports. There are winners at the school, state, and national levels. The Student of the Year Campaign is a seven week fundraising initiative in which selected students in New Jersey participate in a fundraising challenge. Nominated students are selected as Students of the Year candidates based upon a questionnaire and short essay submitted by each interested student.
