Blessed with deep original root culture, Balinese people live and breathe their culture and embodied them in certain aspects of tradition and arts. Dance is one form used by Balinese to express their Hindu believes in a sense of movement. There are three main categories of Balinese dance; wali (sacred dance done only for religious ritual purpose), bebali (semi-sacred and not necessarily for religious purpose) and balih-balihan (created for entertainment and festive purpose). In contrast to contemporary dance in which the movements are free and only constrained by the limits of the body, the dance gesture of a Bali traditional dance have been kept unchanged since first originated as a part of religious ritual done in the Pura (Hindu temple) to give praise or worship their deities, and passed from generation to generation. BARONGA cultural performance steeped in Balinese mythology, Barong dance is a classic tale of 'good versus evil' between the heroic lion-like creature called Barong against the evil queen Rangda. What makes this dance so unique and endearing is the spiritual aspect that follows. On the halfway of the show, Balinese male dancers will enter the ‘trance’ phase and stab themselves with real keris dagger repeatedly but unable to harm themselves. Balinese people believed these phenomena happened because of protection granted by the spirit of Barong during the perfor-mance.

“Established back in 1992, Budiasa Art Gallery has successfully become a medium for carvers of Mas village to display and make profit from their
wooden-based handicrafts.”
Balinese people are amongst those who are
blessed with raw talents in art, from painting, sculpting, carving, and many more. The most well-known region known to produce the best woodcarver on the island is Mas village, Ubud. There are certain factors that made Mas village are so famous for their talented woodcarvers, and one of them is Budiasa Art Gallery.
Built by a prolific woodcarver Made Budiasa, Budiasa Art Gallery simply exists to support the woodcarvers of Mas village and its surrounding areas so they can easily distribute and sell their handicrafts. Before the gallery was established, most of the carvings were marketed
through then only art shop located in Denpasar. It takes times and lots of effort just to make a handful of profit on that era.
Nowadays, Budiasa Art Gallery has become one of the main distributors of Mas village wood carvings through three of their galleries. Here you can see their main gallery in Mas village, filled with quality woodcarvings of certain figures, from religious, nature to pop culture icon. Many of those carvings have been sold abroad as well, and has gain considerable amount of buyers from countries around the globe.

“Founded in Wanagiri village, northern Bali, Banyumala is a twin waterfall in the midst of pristine jungle offering rugged natural beauty and distinctive atmosphere for a perfect tranquil getaway.“
57TRAVELER
To reach Banyumala waterfall is not a
really easy feat, but don’t let that discourage you at all. Embrace your adventurous side and you will be greeted with prime scenery of a place seldom visited even by the locals. The sight of twin waterfalls flowing freely between steep cascading rocks, forming a pool of pond below is more than enough to keep you there for a rejuvenating while. Lush green leaves grows freely covering majority of the rock crevice creating a unique sight as if the water flows through a giant tree.
To reach the waterfall, travel to Wanagiri district, near the lower edge of Lake Buyan, on the crater rim road between Munduk and the main highway from Singaraja to Denpasar. Follow the faded sign away from the lake area leading to a small rural road and series of painted orange arrows, which ultimately leads you to a single track only fit for motorcycle. From here, hike all the way for about 300 meters until you arrived at the waterfall. Your effort will be paid fully by the alluring exclusive sight and a chance to refresh your exhausted body by secludedly swimming in its fresh clear water.

has attracted both locals and international tourists alike for its
unspoiled natural beauty.”
HIDDEN & MAJESTIC
Located just beyond the Beji river of Guwang, lies a natural gem referred
as ‘Hidden Canyon Guwang’. This place is one of the most anticipated getaways in Bali often visited by those who wish to soak in its quaint atmosphere. Peculiar shaped rocks protruding the path into the canyon, makes an exotic, unusual sight.
The hidden canyon of Guwang is actually made by two narrow canyons which elevates 30 meters above the ground. The panorama within is admirably surreal. Sunlight reflected through the clear river water unto the stone creates a translucent greenish tone that permeates the whole area.
On the way to the majestic canyon, just before set of ladders descending to the entrance, you will pass a Balinese temple called Pura Dalem Guwang. There is a spring inside the temple where you can clean yourself after exploring one of the island’s finest hidden wonders.
Go back to the bright side of classic style with these gorgeous Bohemian pattern dress.

NEVER RUN OUT OF BATTERY DURING HOLIDAY
Smartphone is one of the most important stuffs you need to bring on holiday. But you need to safe the battery because the frustration of a dead battery will destroy your happiness. What can you do to avoid it, other than use your phone less? Here
we give you tips & tricks to safe your battery life:
KEEP IT COOLHeat is really bad for batteries. Don't leave your phone lying in direct sunlight. If it gets really hot when you're gaming or when you're charging it, then remove the
case, if you use one.
TURN OFF APPS NOTIFICATIONSome apps will spam you with pointless news. Every one of them is sucking down
some battery life, so cut them off at the source.
REDUCE BACKGROUND REFRESHINGPeople imagine that swiping apps closed in the multitasking menu is saving
power, but you really need to be taking a look in ‘Settings’ to really make a differ-ence. Allowing apps to refresh themselves like this is a big drain on your battery.
