The 2010 RMIT Diploma in Photoimaging Graduate Exhibition celebrates the passion and creative endeavours of the

students. Held at First Site Gallery in the city, the exhibition highlights work from diverse elds including fashion,

photojournalism, sport, portraiture, architecture, illustrative, landscape, advertising, commercial & industrial, still life

and digital imaging. With a staff of practicing professionals comes a discipline from the conceptual to the technical.

The benets of this are illustrated throughout the work. The exhibition celebrates the commitment, hard work and

dedication of each student across their chosen discipline.

have now turned my ocus

to be a photographer. I am

In 2009 Janelle dropped her

psychology degree, packedup her lie, and moved

across the country to pursue

photography.

Over the past two years

she has worked within

the industry, shooting andretouching jobs or clients,

and assisting a variety o

proessional photographers.

Heavily inspired by music, she

has created o body o work

translating the auditory to thevisual. This is a concept she

will continue to explore and

develop over the next ew

years.

Janelle’s ambition would be

to work creating artwork orbands, and shoot portraits o

artists around the world.

William Kalengkongan

William’s keen appreciation

or architecture maniests inthe pictorial reconstruction

o insentient structures into

an ocular east personifed

by mere lines, orms and

textures. His photographs

capture not only the

architects’ exposition o

the structure, but are alsosaturated with William’s

personal interpretationo the immutable edifce

encapsulated with the eeting

elements o light and time.

The zenith o his achievement,

however, is in his meticulous

creation o an almost animateportrait simply rom basic

line, orm and asymmetry in a

structure we daily considered

pedestrian.

Jacob McFadden

Jacob is a Melbourne based

portrait ashion photographerand photographic assistant.

Coming rom Hamilton in

country Victoria, Jacob has

always had a ascination

with light and its ability to

transorm a scene or subject.

His work revolves around

the use o powerul lighting,His love o light and his

obsession with the intensityand excitement o the ashion

world, aids his passion or

bringing concepts to lie.

Inspired by classic vogue,

his melodramatic major study

series employs the concepto smoke to emphasize a

dramatic atmosphere. When

he fnishes his study he plans

to continue reelancing in

Melbourne and working as

a photographic assistant to

acquire as much knowledge

in the feld as possible.

Pitichai Nittayarumphong, or

more commonly as Joji.

Born in Bangkok, Thailand

1988. He developed his

lie-long love o photography

2006 shortly ater receiving

his frst camera.

Ater graduating highschool, Joji commenced

Communication Arts -

Advertising at Assumption

University, Samut PrakarnThailand. During this study

Joji develeoped a passion

or photography and this has

led him to RMIT UniversityMelbourne Australia in 2009.

In terms o his expectations,

Joji would like to continue

photographic studies at either

RMIT University or Academy

o Arts USA and working

with international advertising

industry is his goal.

Trent Perrett

Trent is an emerging

Melbourne basedphotographer who has

his sights frmly set on the

Industrial and Architectural

sector o the Photographic

Industry. His love o the

constructed environment

whether it be steel, concrete,

wood or glass is apparent inhis striking images o the man

made. Trent’s major studyocuses on environmental

portraits within heavy industry

and hunting down the

graphically styled images that

lay idle waiting to be captured

in these spaces.

Upon graduating Trent

will continue to develop

strong industry ties ormed

through this body o work

and build his reputation as a

proessional photographer.

Mike Read

Mike Read is a photographer

with a visceral shutterfnger working mainly on

the streets o Melbourne.

He aims to make images

which ask questions rather

than give answers, images

which invite the viewer

back to fnd something new

on subsequent viewings.Mike was a fnalist in the

2010 Moran Contemporary

Photographic Prize and is

working on a number o
