ASCareer-oriented A.S. degree programs prepare you forimmediate entry into the workforce or transfer into Palm BeachState College’s bachelor’s degree programs. Transfer to certainbachelor’s degree programs at other colleges and universities is possible as well.

Students pursuing the A.S. degree are required to take 15-24credit hours of general education courses. General educationcourses are transferable, and other courses from an A.S. degreeprogram may transfer toward a corresponding baccalaureateprogram at a public or private university or college. The coursesthat a receiving institution will accept will vary.
ATCAdvanced TechnicalCertificateATCs are advanced specializedprograms of study for peoplewith degrees (associate andabove). ATCs consist ofbetween 9 and 12 collegecredit hours.
AAThe Associate in Arts (A.A.) is a two-year transfer degree thatguarantees A.A. graduates admission to a Florida public university or a member institution of the Independent Colleges andUniversities of Florida (ICUF). It does not guarantee admission intoa specific program. The following 60 hours of required collegecredit will transfer to a public university or ICUF institution:

Classes are offered primarily online, withsome face-to-face options given at the Center for Bachelor’sPrograms on the Lake Worth campus.
BSNThe RN to BSN completion degree is designed for licensedregistered nurses who want to advance into administrative andsupervisory positions in the nursing and health care fields.
Flexible online course sequencing allows students to completethe degree in 1 to 2 years. The upper-division courses include 36credit hours of coursework that focuses on leadership, advancedcare concepts, management, research, and contemporary issuesin nursing. The program culminates in an individual capstoneproject.
