All students tried their best in unseasonably warm conditions. The following students have been successful in qualifying to represent Lachlan District at the Western Carnival to be held on Wednesday, 13 June in Guerie: Kortni Houston, Shaykharn Hornery, Tia Dunn, Faith Clarke, Rhys Thompson, Ellen Dolbel, Chyler Skillin, Jack Pinkstone, Luke Parkin and Grace MacGregor. These students will have received their permission note and information pack for the Western Carnival on Monday. Certificates will be presented at a date to be advised. Well done to the students and thank you to those parents and supporters who transported our runners. Mr Roberts Luke Parkin and Xander Greef tackle the tough terrain! Athletics Carnival The athletics carnival will be held this Friday, 1 June. Students will need to be dropped to Northparkes Oval by 8.40am ready for a 9.00am start. Bus students will be dropped to the oval by bus in the morning. On arrival, students will need to have their names marked off by their class teacher. Students will go home from Northparkes Oval. Bus students will catch buses home from the Northparkes Oval as normal. PBL Celebration Students have been awarded a “sporting colours” mufti day on Tuesday, 5 June (Week 6), to celebrate respectful, responsible and safe behaviour. They may like to come dressed in their favourite sports team colours; their Saturday sporting team colours; or come dressed as their favourite sports person. Please ensure your child wears suitable clothing for the weather as well as enclosed shoes. PBL Thank you A big thank you to the P&C for donating 2 sets of XL Polydron blocks to our primary playground valued at over $800.00. To continue catering for the wide variety of interests of our students, we would like to further expand the equipment available for primary students. If you have any of the following laying around not being used or your child has outgrown them, please consider donating them to the school: LEGO, matchbox cars and trucks, footballs, netballs, basketballs and soccer balls Books (suitable for 8-12yr olds) Please send donations to Mrs Ruckley's (2 Red's) room in J Block. Lachlan Cross Country Parkes Public School have tasted success at the Lachlan Cross Country Carnival held on Friday, 25 May in Forbes. All students tried their best in unseasonably warm conditions.

NO HAT, NO PLAY! Students are required to
