General Information● The Kinburn Kermesse is an Ontario Cycling Association sanctioned road

cycling training race● 3 lap event (15km per lap) totalling 45km and 4 laps 60km Sunday mornings● Course will be half paved and half un-paved roads● Gravel or cyclocross bikes are recommended but not required● Points, prize money or medals will not be allocated for any category● The Kinburn Kermesse organizer reserves the right to postpone or cancel the

events due to weather conditions or any unforeseen circumstances● Run on a bi-weekly basis with some Sunday morning dates● No timing● No race numbers ● The event is self-supported● The Kinburn Kermesse will consist of the following categories:

● The Kinburn Kermesse Registration / Sign-In and Race Start will take place at 122 Terraview Drive, Kinburn, Ontario, K0A 2H0

● Registration fee will $20 per event or $90 for the series● Payment/Registration can be made online at https://nine2fivepro.com/proshop

● Payment/Registration can also be made on-site prior to an event. E-transfer, cheque or cash accepted

● Proper Identification must be presented at time of registration. See eligibility section (page 4) for details.

EligibilityEligibilty to participate

● To participate, you must have a UCI approved license, Domestic license or Citizen’s permit

● No one-day licenses will be sold for the event ● A license must be presented prior to the event● Registrations will be accepted on the day of the event, arrive at least 30

minutes prior to the start of the event to ensure enough time for registration and sign-in

● This is an open event, there will be no categories● Participants will not be considered registered for an event until the following

administrative requirements have been completed:○ In-Person registration has been done○ Payment has been made○ Waiver has been signed ○ UCI or equivalent license has been validated by the designated

commissaire

Technical Regulations● The Kinburn Kermesse will be run under Ontario Cycling Association

Rules and will abide by the Ontario Highway Traffic Act○ The roads are open to other users. All traffic laws, including stopping at stop

signs and staying to the right, apply to all riders at all times. Marshalls may stop or delay riders for safety reasons. Any rider who disobeys their instructions will be immediately removed from the event.

● There are two stop signs along the route● Approved helmets will be mandatory for the event.● All participants must obey the instructions of the route marshalls

● Medical First aid will be on-site for all sessions. They will be located at 122 Terraview Drive, Kinburn, Ontario, K0A 2H0

LogisticsParking

● Parking is at the Hwy 417/Panmure Road carpool lot on south side of 417, on Marshwood road (Map 1)

● Participants will ride to 122 Terraview Drive, Kinburn, Ontario, K0A 2H0, for registration, sign-in and race start (Map 2). Bags and such can safely be left on site and washrooms are available

Event Course

● The event will be from a neutral start from 122 Terraview Drive up to Shanna road. (Map 3)

● The official start line is after the paved section on Shanna road (30 meters from Panmure road)

Event Course● The course is 15km, has 4 corners and 2 stop signs (3-4 laps)● The finish is at the parking lot on Marshwood Road.● Note that there are mixed surfaces, ranging from smooth pavement to gravel● All rules of the road apply for the event
