by the Linux Foundation Hyperledger Project. • Established and chaired the Requirements Working Group for the Linux Foundation Hyperledger project,

consisting of members from worldwide leaders in the technology and financial sectors. Director, Big Data Research and Pathfinding § 2015 Reporting to the VP of Big Data Solutions, built and managed a team -- including two Principal Engineers – to deliver technology innovations in the area of Big Data and Analytics. • Led the team to deliver projects and publish papers on genomics, sparse matrix database (for genomic

research), medical imaging, retail RFID tracking (for Levi’s), Spark performance modeling and transition of Spark machine learning algorithms to run on FPGAs.

• Personally architected, designed and built a system to manage a data center with up to tens of thousands of devices. System included data center configuration management, individual and grouped device control, power-up sequencing, telemetry collection, analytics, fault monitoring and partial autonomic response.

Senior Principal Engineer, Big Data Solutions § 2014 Reporting to the VP of Big Data Solutions, delivered critical projects at the intersection of Big Data and Internet of Things (IoT). • Co-developed Intel’s end-to-end IoT strategy and architecture for the newly formed IoT group as a member

of the core strategy and architecture team. Q1’16 revenue for the IoT group was up 22% YoY to $651M. • Led the development of Enable IoT, a highly scalable, multi-tenant system to ingest, store, visualize and

analyze billions of observations collected from IoT devices. This system was used in support of worldwide Intel maker fairs and hackathons. Managed teams on three continents to develop the system on schedule.

• Co-developed the security architecture and took it through Intel’s rigorous security and privacy review processes.

Care Innovations, an Intel-GE Company, Roseville, CA 2010-2013
