A new model for the 21st Century. In todays world, technology
and problem solving are the two most desirable traits in the job
market. Project based learning is a model of education where
problem solving and other 21st century skills are at the forefront
of the curriculum, while simultaneously meeting current standards
through in-depth real-world studies based in the community. In PBL
classrooms students will... generate their own ideas about how
to confront a complex problem or answer questions that have no
single correct solution.

Pilot Program For the 2015 2016 school year Ronee Treadwell and
Jenny Mitchell will be piloting the 21st Century Community Magnet
program at Patrick Elementary. They will be beginning with two
free-flowing classes of third, fourth, and fifth graders from all
over the Rogue Valley. The students will be spending the majority
of their day engaged in student-driven community-based projects
while pursuing mastery of the standards and developing integral
21st century skills.
