Patricio Touceda Eva Lucero At age 10 Patricio began to study the art of dance in Argentina. He studied tango for 15 years with the best tango masters, especially with Juan Carlos Copes and Maria Nieves, Pepito Avellaneda, Mingo Pugliese and Gustavo Naveira. He also studied Argentinean folkloric dances for 7 years with Juan Caceres and Mario Bustos, ballet with Andrea Candela and modern jazz with Margarita Fernandez. In 1991 Patricio started to dance professionally and was awarded second place in the "Dancing Duet" of the "Eisteddfod" International Dance Festival, Johannesburg, South Africa. He took part in many different shows, for instance, "Tango Magia y Seduccion" with Juan. C Copes; "Gotan" with Susana Rinaldi and Raul Lavie ; "Tangos y Choros" with Rodolfo Mederos Orquestra; "The Dance Great Men" with Eleonora Cassano, J.C.Copes, Jose Antonio and Irek Muckhamedov; "Casablanca" and "La Ventana". "Argentina Tango Review", "Señor Tango", "Tango mio" ,"Forever Tango" and "Escuela de Tango" as choreographer. These spectacles were performed in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Spain and Germany. He has also contributed to such films as "El Profe", "Betty La Fea", "Evita", "The Tango Lesson", "Tango" and more as a choreographer and a dancer. Eva started her career at the age of 7 and she completed her studies in the Colon theater in Buenos Aires. She also studied modern dance in the school of the San Martin theater. Her most important teachers were Atilio Sanchez, Alejandro Toto, Liliana Belfiore and Aichi Akamine. She learned tango dancing with the most famous milongueros of Buenos Aires in the milongas. Her professional career started in '92. She was member of the "Ensemble Ballet" as a principal dancer. With this company she performed in various places and spectacles like "Complejo Cultural Parque España" with Julio Bocca and Eleonora Cassano, teachers, "El Circulo" and "The Great Dance Man" with Irek Mukhamedov, Jose Antonio, Juan Carlos Copes and Eleonora Cassano. She also performed in "Luna Park" with "The Royal ballet" Company and stars like Silvie Guillem and Darcy Bussell. As a Tango Dancer she has performed with such renowned Tango companies as "Señor Tango" in Argentina, "Tango Mio" in Brazil, "Forever Tango" in Japan, "Tanguera" in Argentina, and "Malambo" in the U.S. She also starred in various TV programs and the Argentinean Movie "El Sueño de los Heroes". They have been dancing together for three years. Since they came to U.S in July 2002 they performed in companies as "Swango" at the Helen Hayes theatre company in New York (off Broadway). Michelle Badion's "Tango Cabaret" in Seattle, WA. Romulo Larrea's "Tangos... for la milonga" at the Meany Hall in Seattle,WA and "Orange County Performing Arts Center", in Costa Mesa, CA. They created their own Tango Dance company; they released the show TANGO RETRO in February 2004 with great success at the Broadway Performance Hall in Seattle, WA. © 2003 Tangonetwork
