5. TERMSANDCONDITIONSUPONWHICHTHECOMPETITIONWILLBEHELDAquathloncompetitionswill takeplace ifat leasteight (8)nations formen’seventand six (6) nations for women’s event have registered by the deadline set fornumeric registration. Considering the minimum number of participants, thePresidentofthe

TechnicalCommissionoftheInternationalCommitteeoftheMediterraneanGames(ICMG),assistedbyoneortwo(2)othermembersfromthesameCommission,

appointedbythePresidentoftheICMGandinthepresenceoftheSportsDirectorof OCMBG 2019, it will be decided the interruption of the numerical registration.DependingontheEntriesbyNumbersubmittedby15thofMay,2019(23:59EET),theabovementionedCommissionwilldecideontheactualcarryingoutoftherace,or on the possible cancellation of one ormore categories, by22May 2019. ThenimmediatelytheOCMBG2019willnotifytheNationalOlympicCommittees(NOCs)involved,viafaxore-mailaboutthepossiblecancellationofoneormoreofevents.Onceconfirmed,theeventswillbeheldandmedalswillbeawarded,regardlessoftheactualnumberofparticipants.

6. COMPETITIONREGULATIONS

AquathloncompetitionwillbeheldinaccordancewiththeITUrulesinforceduringthetimeperiodofthecompetition,specialdispensationsbytheICMGexcepted.(https://www.triathlon.org/uploads/docs/itusport_competition-rules_2019.pdf)Anycasenotcoveredbytheaforesaidruleswillbedecidedasfollow:

• GeneralcaseswillbesettledaccordingtoICMGrules;• TechnicalquestionswillbedecidedaccordingtoITUrules.

AnydisputearisingbeforeorduringthecompetitionswillbedecidedbytheDirectorofthecompetitionsinaccordancewithmentionedrules,exceptbyICMG.

7. TECHNICALORGANIZATION

TheOrganizingCommittee,alongwiththeTechnicalDelegateofITU,isresponsibleforthetechnicalorganizationandmanagementoftheAquathloncompetitionofthe2ndeditionoftheMediterraneanBeachGames2019inPatras.

7.1 SpecificproceduresunderwhichthecompetitionwillbeheldThecompetitionsystemwillbeconformedtotheITUrules7.2 RandomdrawandcompositionofteamroundsThenumberswill be assignedby the ITUofficewhen the registrations for theAquathlon competition will be completed, and will be visible on the sitewww.mbgpatras2019.grandonwww.triathlon.org,insectiondedicatedtotheMediterraneanBeachGames.

8. COMPETITIONVENUE8.1 PlayingVenue

Aquathlon competitions of the 2nd edition of the Mediterranean BeachGameswilltakeplacewiththefollowingpath:

8.2 Warm-upVenuesAwarm-uparea,establishedbytheITUTechnicalDelegate,willbeprovidedforAthletes(nearthecompetitionarea).

8.3 ChangingRoomsChangingrooms,andsupportingfacilitiessuchasshowersandtoiletswillbeprovidedformenandwomen.

8.4 Athlete’sLoungeThe Athletes lounge, located near the playing field, is for athletes only;duringcompetitionsessions,accesswillbeallowedonlybyshowingtheaccreditationpass. Inthis lounge,competingathleteswillbeprovidedwithrefreshmentsincludingcoldbeverages,waterandfruits.

8.5 MixedZoneandPressConferenceRoom

Accredited media will be allowed to conduct short interviews with theAthletes in theMixedZone immediately after competitions.Athletesmustgothroughthisareatogetoutofthearrivalareaandtheyarerequestedtocooperate and to answer questions from the press. Upon request by

accreditationmedia,thepersoninchargeofthepressofOCMBG2019willescorttheathletesortheircoachestothePressConferenceRoominordertoanswerquestionsfromthereporters.

8.6 EquipmentAllsportsandtechnicalequipmentusedforRunningandSwimmingraceandtrainingwillcomplywithtechnicalregulationsasdefinedbyITUandinforceduring the competition time period, special dispensations by the ICMGexcepted.

9. TRAINING

9.1 TrainingVenueBased on the number athletes registered for the competitions a suitablenumberof trainingareaswillbeavailable for training.The trainingvenueswillbeavailableonetotwodayspriortothecompetition,accordingtothetraining program which will be conducted after the final number ofparticipantswillbesubmittedanditwillbeprovidedbytheOCMBG2019.Arunningtrackandaswimmingpoolwillbeavailablefortrainingaswell.

9.2 ProceduresfortrainingsessionsschedulingTeams will be informed upon their arrival. Teams will receive moreinformation on the training sessions at the Information Center and theTechnicalOfficeofAquathlon.

9.3 AvailableservicesatthetrainingVenuesAvailable servicesat the trainingvenueswillbe the same like those in thecompetitionvenue.

10. ELIGIBILITY

AllNOCsof the ICMGmembercountrieswhoseFederationsarealso ITUmemberscan take part in Aquathlon Tournament of the 2nd Edition of theMediterraneanBeach Games 2019 in Patras. Athletes must be nationals of the country theyrepresentandmustcomplywithandfollowICMGandITUconditionsandrules.Each country is eligible to take part in the Competition with maximum two (2)Athletesforeachrace.

11. REGISTRATION

11.1 General principles The2ndMediterraneanBeachGamesinPatras2019areopentoalltheathletesofNOCof theMediterraneancountries-membersof ICMG,as it is referred totheregulationsoftheICMGmapandIOC.Alltheathletesthatparticipatetothecompetition must be citizens of the country they represent according to IOCregulations.11.2 EntriesThesubmissionofentriesbyNOCsfortheGameswillonlybeacceptedviatheonlinee-SportEntriessystem(ESE),whichisavailableinEnglish.Thelistof

entriesbynumberofanNOCwithparticipatingathletesmustbesenttothe

OCMBG,viathee-SportsEntriesSystem,untilthe15May2019(23:59,EET)atthelatest.Thisisthe“FinalbyNumberforAthletes&TeamOfficials”deadline.Thee-AccreditationSystemwillbeopenedtotheNOCsfromJune3,2019.

NOCsareallowedfromthismomentonwardstoenterallinformationaboutallpotentialathletesandofficialsincludedintheNOCcategory,withoutaMaximumnumberofpersons.

AllparticipatingathletesmustbecitizensofthecountriestheyrepresentaccordingtotheIOCrules.Athletesmustbeenteredineacheventintowhichtheycouldtakepart.Entriessystemwillbeaccessibleonaspecialsectionon

thewebsite:www.mbgpatras2019.gr.EachDelegationwillreceiveacodeandapasswordtoaccesse-sportsentriessystem,downloadtheTechnicalInformationManualinEnglishandproceedwiththenumericalregistration.

11.2.1 PreliminaryEntriesbyNumberThe Preliminary Entries by Number form issued by the NOC of eachparticipating country must be submitted to the OCMBG 2019 by: 24th ofMarch2019(23:59EET).

11.2.2 EntriesbyNumberTheEntriesbyNumberformissuedbytheNOCofeachparticipatingcountrymust be submitted to the OCMBG 2019 by: 15th of May 2019(23:59EET).

11.2.3 PreliminaryEntriesbyNameThe Entries by Name (Long List)must be entered into the system by theNOC of each participating country andmust be submitted to the OCMBG2019by:30thofJune2019(23:59EET).

11.2.4 FinalEntriesbyNameThe final nominative list (Short list) of participatingAthletes issuedby theNOCofeachparticipatingcountrymustbe submitted to theOCMBG2019by:30thofJuly2019(23:59EET).

11.3 EntriesConfirmationConfirmation of entries of the participant athletes will be announced at theInformationTechnologyCenter,beforethetechnicalmeeting.TheTeamLeaderofeachCountrywillbedulysentthespecificformsforentriesconfirmation.

12. TECHNICALMEETING(ATHLETESBRIEFING)The Technical Meeting will be held at least one day prior to the start of thecompetition.ThetimefixedfortheMeetingwillbeannouncedatalaterdate.TheMeetingwillbeorganizedfollowingITUrulesandunderthesupervisionoftheITUTechnicalDelegate.Themeetingwillbeattendedby:

• ITUTechnicalDelegate;• ARepresentativeforeachParticipatingCountry• OCMBG2019AquathlonCompetitionManager• ArepresentativeoftheOCMBG2019• AllAthletesarerequiredtoattendsigningtheformpresence,asregulation

AmemberoftheICMGTechnicalCommissionwillattendthemeeting.TheTechnicalDelegatewillconductthebriefingtothepresenceoftheCompetitionManager.

13. MEDICALSERVICES

13.1 MedicalservicesavailabletotheAccommodationSitesandVenuesMedicalServiceswillbeavailable in theAthletes'AccommodationSitesandattheTrainingandCompetitionvenuesforallaccredited.a.Athletes'AccommodationSitesAthletes' Accommodation Sites Medical Care will provide assistance to theresidentswiththefollowingmedicalservices:

• Sportsmedicine;• Physiotherapy;• Firstaid;• 24-houremergencyservice;• AmbulanceService.

AMedicalGuidewill bepublishedwith a detailed list ofmedical services thatwillbegiventotheMediterraneanFamilyduringtheGames.b.TrainingandCompetitionvenuesServiceof sportsmedicine andphysiotherapywill beprovided to athletes andsupportstaffatthetrainingandcompetitionvenues.Anambulanceservicetodesignatedhospitalswillbealsoorganized.Awaterrescueservicewillbeprovidedbyqualifiedpersonnel.13.2 Anti-dopingtestsAnti-doping test will be conducted during, and sometimes prior to thecompetition,undertheresponsibilityoftheMedicalCommitteeoftheICMGincollaboration with the Anti-Doping Commission of OCMBG 2019 and inaccordancewithICMGandITUrules.All Athletes selected for anti-doping testswill receivewrittennotification. Theprocedureforcollectingofsamplestobeanalyzedinaccordancewithsetrulesandthetimelimitswillthenstart.Any athletewho refuses to undergo anti-doping control orwho tests positivewill be excluded from the competition and will be sanctioned along with histeamaccordingtotheICMGandITUrules.

14. TO’sANDREFEREES

14.1 TechnicalOfficialsFor Aquathlon competition International and National TO’s will beappointed by ITU. The TO’s will control the correct performance of thecompetition in accordancewith Regulation, and timekeepers, through thechip,willpreparearankingthatwillbeapprovedbytheTechnicalDelegate,beforebeingexposedandannounced.

14.2 AppealscommitteeIn accordance with the technical regulations of events of each sportscheduled in the 1st edition of Mediterranean Beach Games, anInternational Appeals Committeewill be created. Theywill be responsibleforthescrutinyofofficialcomplaintslodged,aswellasofappeals.

IftheTechnicalDelegateisnotthePresidentoftheAppealsCommittee,theInternational Federation will decide, through the Technical Delegate, thenameofthePresidentoftheJuryofAppealappropriatelynamed.In general, special dispensation by the International Federation excepted,theAppealsCommitteeshallbecomposedof:• Thetechnicaldelegate• AmemberrepresentingtheOCMBGP2019• AmemberrepresentingHellenicOlympicCommitteeThis list will be communicated by the ITU Technical Delegate during theTechnical Meeting. In the event of a complaint, the members of theCommittee cannot be of the same nationality as the person lodging thecomplaintitself.

15. PROTESTANDAPPEALS

ComplaintsandappealswillbeexaminedaccordingtoITUinternationalregulations.

16. ATHLETICAPPAREL16.1 Athletesapparel

Athletes takingpart in the competitionsofAquathlon in the2nd EditionoftheMediterraneanBeachGamesmustwearuniformswhichcorrespondtothestandardsprovidedbyITUrules.Noadvertisinglogosmayappearontheuniforms, accessories or, generally, on any clothing or equipmentwornorusedbyathletes,withtheexceptionofproducer labelsoftheclothingandequipment, under the condition that the latter are not displayed foradvertisingpurposes,inaccordancewithICMGandITUrules.Everymaterialusedincompetitionwillbecheckedbythejudgesonthedayoftheevent,inthearea called "athletes' lounge" justbefore the startof thecompetition.The awards ceremony is subject to the same rules for the advertisingaspectsoftheathletes’uniform.

16.2 RefereesapparelThereferee’sapparelisdeterminedaccordingtothespecificationsthatITUdefines.

17. SPECIALEVENTSANDAWARDS

Awardceremonieswillbeheldaccordingtothedailyprogram.17.1 MedalsanddiplomasMedalsanddiplomasInaccordancewiththeICMGrules,thefollowingprizeswillbeawarded:

• FirstPrizeAGoldmedalandadiplomaforeachfirst-rankedathlete

• SecondPrizeASilvermedalanddiplomaforeachsecond-rankedathlete

• ThirdPrizeABronzemedalanddiplomaforeachthird-rankedathlete

• Fromthe4thto8thplaceAdiplomaforeachathlete

19. SPORT’SINFORMATIONDESKSSport’s Information Desks will provide specific information regarding AquathlonCompetitionlocatedatthecompetitionvenueandattheaccommodationsiteoftheSport’sAthletes.These information deskswillprovide informationoncompetitiontimes, training sessions, transportation, list of athletes and results. InformationDeskswillalsoprovidetechnical information issuedandcommunicatedby ITUandtheOCMBG2019.

20. REGULATIONSAPPROVAL

IncaseofdisagreementontheinterpretationofthisRegulation,theEnglishversionshallprevail.ThisRegulationwasapprovedbytheICMGonthe28thofFebruary2019.
