If you are in need of the Power of Prayer, please, let us pray for you or if you wish to join in prayer for others,

please call Lila Giesinger at 306-789-1600. Holy Year of Mercy In his homily on March 15, Pope Francis announced, “Dear brothers and sisters, I have often thought about how the Church might make clear its mission of being a witness to mercy. It is journey that begins with a spiritual conversion. For this reason, I have decided to call an extraordinary Jubilee that is to have the mercy of God at its center. It shall be a Holy Year of Mercy. We want to live this Year in the light of the Lord's words: ‘Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. (cf. Lk 6:36)’” This Holy Year of Mercy will begin on Sunday, December 8, 2015 and continue to Sunday, November 20, 2016.

You Can Help the People of Nepal Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Nepal. On April 25th, the country experienced a destructive 7.8 magnitude earthquake causing over 5,000 deaths and 11,000 injuries, and many are still reported missing. The amount of destruction is overwhelming, and those affected are struggling for food, water and shelter. DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE is working with Caritas Nepal and others Caritas members to provide aid to the population. You can contribute to these much-needed relief efforts by donating to DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE. Your contribution will be matched by the Canadian Government until May 25th, 2015. Donate online at www.devp.org; by phone at 1 888 664-3387; or by sending a cheque made out to DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE (please indicate Nepal Earthquake) to: DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE, 1425 René-Lévesque Blvd. West 3rd Floor, Montreal QC, H3G 1T7.
