Galaxy and Tidal’s Review on Wings of Fire: Book 1!

It’s from the Wings of Fire series by Tui T. Sutherland, right?” T- “Yep. Do you want to talk about it without spoiling much?” G- “I was just about to ask you about it. What are the main characters’ names?” T- “Their names are Starflight, Glory, Clay, Tsunami, and Sunny. They’re all from different tribes.” G- “Tribes? What do you mean by that?” T- “There are seven dragon tribes, or types, in Pyrrhia, where they all live. Skywings, Mudwings, Seawings, Rainwings, Icewings, Sandwings, and Nightwings.”
G- “What’s different about them all?” T- “They have different abilities, strengths, appearances, and weaknesses. Like Icewings have deadly frost breath, while Skywings breath fire.” G- “Sounds cool! So, why are a bunch of dragons together from different tribes? Wouldn’t they all be with their own tribes?” T- “There is a gigantic three-way war between the Sandwing sisters. Their mother, Queen Oasis, was killed and they couldn’t decide who to give the throne to, so one of the sisters decided to start a war to decide. The war has lasted eightenn years, and the Nightwings gave a prophecy on how it will end.” T- “The prophecy said that five dragonets from different tribes will end the war and decide who wins. The prophecy says that two sisters will die, and one will live and learn.” G- “Hold on, you said Queen Oasis. Do the other tribes have queens too?” T- “The dragon tribes have Queens, kind of like bees! G- “So that’s a yes, right?” T- “Uh-Huh.” G- “Well this book sounds really cool, and this series for that matter! When can I borrow your copy?
Seneca Valley Football 2018

now has a record of 6-2 after their crushing victory over Woodlands Hills 24-7 with the help of their offensive lines performance and Matt Stanger’s 132 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns.
Regular Season: Seneca Valley has beaten Erie McDowell 30-6, Canon Mac 31-0, Mt.
Lebanon 17-14, Butler 37-0, Hempfield Area 18-0, and Woodland Hills 24-7. Seneca Valley beats Norwin 21-13. They have lost three games: 10-6 to North Allegheny, Central Catholic 20-14, and Pine Richland 21-7.

Playoffs:Seneca Valley finished the
regular season with an 8-3 record. Seneca now began what they call the revenge tour. They gave it this name because to win the WPIAL the Raiders must beat every team they lost to. The Raiders started the tour against the number four seed Central Catholic Vikings. Due to a lights-out performance by the defense with a shut out in the second half, and a 13 yard passing touchdown to tight end Jake Stebbins, and an amazing 18 yard
rushing touchdown by running back Jake Mineweaser, Seneca beat the Vikings.
Seneca Valley’s next stop was at North Allegheny against the 10-0 Tigers. The Raiders stomped all over North Allegheny with a 31-14 win, with Jake Mineweaser’s 166 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns and Luke Smith’s 103 receiving yards and one touchdown. Seneca Valley advanced to the WPIAL Championship against the Pine Richland Rams at Heinz Field.
Seneca Valley’s last stop on their revenge tour was at Heinz Field against the power house Pine Richland Rams. The Raiders fell to the Rams 34-7, lacking to get their offense going and their defense off the field.

Minecraft Creepy Pasta: Herobrine

Herobrine. Apparently, a player started a brand-new world and found Herobrine. Their render distance was set very low as they had a bad computer. Everything was going fine until they saw a player that looked like the famous Steve from Minecraft except with no pupils. Herobrine then locked eyes with the player and then he ran into the fog. The player continued playing and found random 2x2 tunnels, perfect pyramids of sand in the middle of the ocean, and a bunch of trees with the leaves cut off. Later, the player went on the Minecraft Forums and made it a topic. Three times it was deleted even quicker and quicker. Then an account named Herobrine messaged the player with only one word: stop. He searched the account but there was nothing. Another player who claimed to experience the same as the first player said that many others experienced the same to the player who found Herobrine.
After months of no communication between the two, it was found out Herobrine was a Swedish gamer’s account. The player talked to Notch himself and he found out that that Swedish gamer was Notch’s brother. Although Notch said he had a brother, he also said, “He is no longer with me.” Herobrine has been removed from Minecraft twenty
two times, and has been removed from Minecraft Conceal Edition and Mojang’s other game Scrolls, but the lore of Herobrine still lives on. Anyway, that’s just creepy pasta. Do you believe in Herobrine?
Dolphins

interesting creatures, and here are some things you need to know.
Dolphins have a rare ability to teach each other things. If another dolphin has a tactic for getting food easily, then that dolphin can teach other dolphins that. Then it spreads, and dolphins tell other generations, which means that a dolphin could know something about what the earth was like before humans were here.
A dolphin has learned to clean up her tank when there is garbage in it. Every piece of garbage she brings in, she gets a fish, so she rips paper into shreds and gets a fish for every individual piece she brings to the surface.
Dolphins are the third most intelligent animal on this planet, humans are the most intelligent, and chimpanzees are second. Still, dolphins are very smart.
Dolphins are very playful, as we all know, but do we all know how playful they are? Once a dolphin was playing with a leaf that fell in its tank, and the leaf entertained him until a worker saw that the dolphin was in a playful mood and entertained a crowd by throwing a ball with the dolphin.
Dolphins will form close bonds with their trainers, because trainers will give the dolphin food and care for them, so the dolphin likes them. How could the trainer not love the dolphin? I mean who doesn’t love dolphins? Trainers form close bonds with the dolphins, and those bonds can be so strong that the trainer basically adopts the dolphin {not literally}.
Dolphins, as I said, are one of the smartest animals, but not the smartest. If the dolphin is as smart as they are, how smart are the second most smartest animals? First, we know how smart we all are with all the things we have created and learned. But exactly how big of a difference from the second smartest animal to the first is there? Well, the difference is bigger than the difference between dolphins and chimps. But the difference from humans to chimps is bigger than you think too. We keep chimps in cages in the zoo. Have you ever seen a chimp keeping a human in a cage? No! Well, I hope not. But no, you don’t. Also, when is the last time a chimp ever made a car or a sky scraper. Never! But we have. Finally, at least the most obvious one is we are just plain smarter, we know more.

Minecraft the Updates: Upcoming Update during the
Holidays

during the holidays 2018 is the brand-new
pandas and cat update. The rest of the Village and Pillage update will be coming to Minecraft in 2019. That is not the official name, but here are the all-new updates. The new update [Beta] is available to play on versions that support beta. Beta versions can be unstable, so the whole reason Minecraft wants players trying them this early is to give them feedback and catch bugs for Minecraft developers to fix. Make sure if you try the update to back up your worlds. To play the beta version, toggle the use experimental game play button in settings. Make sure it is towards the right. If you do play the beta version, you can use scaffolding play with pandas, use scaffolding, and much more. While building a fancy roof or super tall building, try scaffolding. Scaffolding is a block that, much like cobwebs, you can walk into. When you jump you’ll go up and when you crouch you’ll go up. If you place it on a non-scaffolding block or too far away from the original tower it will fall like sand. If you hold the jump button you will fly up the tower of scaffolding. If you shift you’ll go down. It will be made of bamboo.
The new mob, the panda, is a very big change. There are pandas with different personalities. The pandas will eat cake or bamboo. The new mob of course needs a new biome. The pandas will live in the bamboo forests found in the jungle.
There is also the cat. Now I know what you’re thinking: yea there is already a cat, but this is different. The cat is now its own mob found in villages. There will be nine cats and one will be a player’s cat. Cats will roam the villages as strays until you tame them. Just like the wolf, they will have a collar that you can change color. And word on the street is that the all black cats will spawn in witch huts.

A robot senses their environment, thinks about what to do next, and does something to affect the world around it. Also, robots have many different applications and jobs. For example, robots can fight fires, care for the elderly, and explore other planets! There is no end of things that they can do to help humans.
Robotics requires a knowledge of engineering, biology, and electronics. Also, nature can prove to be a good resource for

Pittsburgh Penguins Preview
By Travis LesackHockey’s back and the Pittsburgh Penguins are playing again. Last year the Penguins record was 47-29-6 which was the second best in the Metropolitan Division, just being beat by the Washington Capitals.
The Pittsburgh Penguins made some key trades and had resigning’s over the off-season. Here are some of the trades and resigning’s…
On July 1, 2018, Signed C Matt Cullen to a one-year contract and D Jack Johnson to a five-year contract.
On July 26, 2018, Signed G Tristan Jarry on a two-year contract
On June 26, 2018, Re-signed F Bryan Rust to a four-year contract through 2021-22
On June 27, 2018, Traded F Conor Sheary and D Matt Hunwick to Buffalo for a conditional 2019 fourth-round draft pick. Re-signed F Riley Sheahan to a one-year contract.
On May 18th, 2018, the Penguins signed D Jussio Riikola to a one-year, entry-level contract.
The trades will give the Penguins a giant boost and hopefully a Stanley Cup. On their season opener, the Penguins played the Washington Capitals and ending up winning in a 7-6 OT (Overtime) Victory. The Penguins will probably make a Playoff Berth according to Head Coach Mike Sullivan.
Oct 9, 2018, Matt Murray was diagnosed with a concussion at practice. This is Coach Sullivan on Murray: “The injury happened in practice yesterday. There is currently no timetable on his return.” The Penguins are in 6th place in the Metropolitan division followed by the Capitals in 1st place
The Pittsburgh Penguins are off to a 9-8-5 start. in first place in the NHL are the Tampa Bay Lightning which are 17-6-1.
Injuries (beginning of season)
Captain, Sidney Crosby will not play till further notice with an upper body injury.
Defensive man Kris Letang, is out day-to-day with a lower body injury.
Right Wing, Derick Brassard, is on the Injury Reserve with a lower body injury.
Defensive man Justin Shultz is out on the IR with a lower leg injury.

Fortnite Battle Royale Season 6

New Stuff in Battle Royale 1. Loot Lake’s middle island and house are floating, with the giant cube and tornado underneath. 2. A big castle is near Haunted Hills now. 3. There are pets, which are just back bling, although they react to battle. 4. Rune areas have disappeared but there are shadow stones you can be seen in them and you can’t shoot while you’re using them, but you can always exit them, although they expire after 45 seconds. 5. Fatal Fields’ crops have grown into a corn maze. 6. Loot Lake’s island is floating all around the map. 7. A new mode was released, Disco Domination, where you have to dance on disco floors across the map.8. The cube exploded, so now Leaky Lake’s hole has been covered up. 9. Balloons have been added, lifting you high into the air before a reload. 10. The Six-Shooter is the new replacement for the revolver, which shoots six times quicker. 11. The Fornitemares was a new event that was released around Halloween, where there were purple stones that spawned monsters. Zombies attacked and damaged you, but when you killed them you got a small amount of shield. 12. The Crossbow was brought back into Playground and the Fornitemares event. 13.The new legendary Mounted Turret was released. You place it like a Launch Pad or Spike Trap, dealing 80 damage on headshots and 40 for bodyshots. 14.The new mode Food Fight came out, and you must protect your mascot, Durburger or Tomato Head. You also have a mask that is the mascot you’re protecting, no matter what skin you are.
Predictions We think that later in the
season the tornado underneath the floating island in Loot Lake will grow bigger and suck things into it, and move across the map like the cube did.
I personally think it is linked with the shadow zones that are located where the cube left mysterious marks across the map, as it traveled across the rugged terrain in Battle Royale. We also think that the Tomato Temple might have something to do with the new theme, which we are pretty sure is darkness, based on the new title, “Darkness Rises.” The island that is the center house of Loot Lake might move around the map too, along with the tornado. I also think that new skins tied into the season title will come to the shop. In addition, I think that there will be new features like the no fall damage because of your glider. I think that later in the season they will give the skins different powers based on the type of skin, like the astronaut could fly for a second or something.

The Skull Trooper has returned to the store, this time with a neon green glow. The original Skull Troopers received a neon purple glow. DJ Yonder, Calamity, Red Riding Hood, and the tier 100 skin, Dire. The Dire is a man who levels up to a werewolf. Music was added for the loading screen. Floss, Spooky, and Nostalgic. There is a random guy in a llama costume called Giddy Up. The biggest change is the pets. They react to different situations. Also, Nite-Nite and Peek-A-Boo, who are clowns. NFL skins were released, and you can pick your style. Plus, you can change their number. There are also Octoberfest skins. There are also Day of the Dead skins called Rosa and Dante, which are like skeletons. Ruckus and Mayhem skins are Outlandish skins.

Chapter 1 Rude Awakening
Please do not do what I did kids. You will NOT end up in Minecraft. And what I did was VERY stupid. There was a school lockdown, but none of us took anything seriously. The dude looked like a mad scientist!
My friend, Plug, and I charged him with our social studies books. Ever seen one? At least a few pounds. Anyways, we charged him. And he mercilessly tele-blasted us. And our entire class! My body dissolved into 1s and 0s. Binary code is not fun to become. I sincerely hope you’ve never been blasted through time and space and hit the Minecraft border. That was the only time I had a glimpse of Minecraft from outside the world. Trees were collections of 01010011’s and 01000001’s. Water was 01001110,
01000100, and the ever-present 01010000. And then it all changed.
Chapter 2 A Whole New World I was pulled through the barrier
like a knife through butter. And then suddenly, I felt warm sunlight on my back, there was wind through my hair, and a beautiful zombie under a tree. Also known as Minecraft. The zombie didn’t attack me, or my class, but... MY CLASS? Three rows of identical Alexes and Steves and one Steve at the front. And of course, the creeper at the front looked like it somewhat resembled our teacher! Wait, Mr. Johnston plays MINECRAFT? And of course, me, Spark. (If you haven’t figured it out yet, Plug and I are using aliases. You find out our names if you look at all the binary code.)
I didn’t even have to attack the zombie. It just ran away when it saw the small army of players staring at it, disregarding the fact it was on fire. A small rumble of voices started. Mr. Johnston stared around in wonder. Plug and I looked at each other and smiled. Our hours and hours of endless Minecraft was about to pay off. “Okay, group A, B, and C, go find wood. Oak is preferable. And groups D, E, and F, gather some seeds. Mr. Johnston, you can stay ‘AFK’ for a bit,” I said.
“Nah, that’s okay,” said Mr. Johnston. He still didn’t move. I turned toward Plug and rolled my eyes. I glanced over my shoulder and didn’t see him. I looked around and saw him flying with an elytra.
“MR. JOHNSTON! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!” screamed Plug.
“I think he hacked the server!” I said in total wonder. Mr. Johnston wasn’t exactly skillful at gaming, proven at the summer Mario Kart tournament. Suddenly, a purple portal sucked him in, and he disappeared.
Chapter 3 The New Town
It didn’t look like much at first, but slowly and surely twenty five small huts rose up, with a large stone border surrounding it. At the very front of the huts, there was a large town hall. We used it for a court most of the time. The farm was left of all the houses, a giant field of grain. Our market square was in the middle of the huts. But one thing was setting it apart from other towns. Every day, one person would be swallowed by that purple portal, which we determined was a Nether portal of some kind. And who can survive in the Nether?
The remaining council convened. Only eleven people,
including Plug and me. Johnny was just taken earlier. He was our unofficial mining expert. “We have to stop this!” yelled Plug, shocking me out of my daydreaming. I responded, “I know. But how?”
“I know! We sneak to the Nether portal, go in, find our friends and bring them back through the portal. Then, when we return, we destroy this portal, so no one can be transported to the Nether!” said Plug.
“But the portal isn’t a material one! It just spawns and then de-spawns! There’s no way to break it!” I despaired. The portal didn’t even have the obsidian around it.
“Well, at the very least, we have to figure out how the portal is getting those people!” Plug said. Suddenly, half the council disappeared. The only thing that remained was some purple particles. I looked towards Plug, but it was too late. I too, disappeared into the portal. Part 2 Plug
“NO!” I screamed. Spark had been my best friend for years, and now he was good as dead. I was going to the Nether to save him. One way or another.
CHAPTER 4
The Journey The town mine had never been
quieter. It was usually a cacophony of pickaxes, voices, and TNT. But I had to find diamonds by tomorrow. There was an underground ravine that had been unearthed shortly before the portals came. I rounded a corner and started falling. But that was impossible! The ravine wasn’t for another minute or so!
SPLASH! I got soaked as I hit the water. How had I survived? It was impossible.... good night.... zzz.... zzz. HA! Gotcha! I had fallen, but everyone knows that falling into water doesn't hurt you! I spotted diamonds shortly after I fell. I had an iron pickaxe on me, and slowly mined the vein.
Once I was done, I counted “me moola” as Izza, one of my friends, would say. A GRAND TOTAL OF 54 DIAMONDS! That was unbelievable! Practically unheard of! It was a quintuple vein of diamonds! I started heading back to the nearest “safety zone”, a nook in a cave with food, torches, water, and crafting tables. In no time at all, I had a full set of diamond tools, armor, and some ender pearls! (There was another enderman infestation.) The last person that had come back from the Nether had some extra blaze rods! I could make potions AND teleport!
After a whole twenty minutes, I was ready. Just to make sure, I checked
the clock. I was right. T-minus fifty seconds until the next portal was due. I sat down, knowing there was nothing left to do except sit and wait. As I lay, I wondered aloud. “What’s going on in the real world? I mean, I’ve been here for weeks!” And then it hit me. My family. They don’t know what happened. I was filled with anguish. My little sister, wondering where I was. My dog, his ear scratcher gone. And my parents, never seeing their oldest child again. But that was when the portal swallowed me.
I woke up, groggy from the heat. Wait, HEAT? I stared around me, at the red and barren landscape of the Nether. Except it wasn’t barren. There were dozens of monsters, but hundreds of players held them from a gigantic fortress, made of cobblestone. In the fray, I saw my class, but dozens of other kids, fighting for their lives. And there was SPARK! My gosh, he was amazing! With a trident, he sliced through an entire brigade, and then threw it and took out a ghast. I got up and rushed into the battle. The withers were attacking from the left, and even though the players were strong, no one stands a chance against a wither. Unless they were crazy, which I am.
The fight was a blur. I drank so many potions, milk, and destroyed so many withers, all I could see was EXP and Nether stars. The fight was over. But the battle wasn’t over. Whoever helped the mobs had to be destroyed. They were just too dangerous. Suddenly, a plane swooped out of the air. It was the first non-pixel object I had seen in weeks. The cockpit opened. “You kids need a ride?” said the pilot. That wasn’t from Minecraft. I don’t know what’s going on, but it’s sure going to be interesting! Spark and I will write to you guys again soon. Until then, remember. 1010011 and 1010000!

5 D.I.Y Pumpkin Decorating Ideas

1. Pink, blue, white, purple, and black paint 2. Pumpkin 3. newspaper
Instructions Step1: Put newspaper down on your table. Step2: First you will start painting your pumpkin with your black paint. Step3: Next you will dab your blue paint onto your pumpkin with a sponge brush you will repeat this with the rest of your paint except white. Step4: Leave your pumpkin for thirty minutes to dry. Step5: Then, put some white paint on a paint brush and flick it at your pumpkin. Step5: Let your pumpkin dry for thirty minutes to an hour and you are done !

School is starting soon and Evans City Elementary and Middle School were getting ready. All seemed normal to
neighbors until school buses loaded with doctors and men in navy blue suits started to show up. They would enter the school, stay from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, get picked up by the school buses and leave. The whole situation was confusing and concerning for students and parents.
August 29th, 2018, Evans City Middle School (day before school)
“Is it ready” says a man in a deep voice, over the school speakers. All the strange men and school faculty went to classrooms. Mr. Levere, Dr.G , and the teachers of Cuppadamelli entered the gym in one group. “We finally have purpose for this school,” whispered Mr. Adams. In the Spanish room was Mrs. Zinkham, Mr. Rubaker, and Mr. Hickman. They didn’t seem that excited for what was about to come since they had been fighting against it. The school was planning to use students as test subjects in experiments.
August 30th, 2018, Lily’s house 8:00AM
“Honey I’m so excited for your first day back at school!” blurts out Lily’s mom.
Lily marched to the bus stop. She saw Tyler, Mark, and Addy. She kept her head down as she lay in seat 14 of the bus. She could smell rubbing alcohol like the whole bus was sterilized. When she got in her classroom, room 86, she smelled more chemicals such as bleach. Team Cuppadamelli was written everywhere. BOOM the room went dark. The blinds dropped. She felt as if she had sunk into a black hole as a horrible ringing came from all round her. She felt the floor slowly sinking like an elevator. Everyone was screaming; she had to say something. “Everyone stay calm, find each other to brace on to, the room is moving faster down. Hold on and sit so you don’t fall!” she announced.
4:00PM
“It is about time to go home” said a mystery voice
“how do you know that?” asked lily.
“My phone,” he replied
“PHONES!
“what?”
“phones have flashlights and communications!”
“your right!”
Everyone pulled out their phone if they had one. “No service” said someone. they at least had light but the room stopped falling…
