You are now one of over 3,700 Cub Scouts visiting Gilwell from all parts of Victoria.

A special welcome to Victoria if you have travelled from interstate.

Well done on completing your Camp Out Badge, you will be really well prepared for Cuboree.

Not really... We are only at Cuboree for 4 nights.While you are at Cuboree, your Pack will be your new

home, so settle in and get to know your new friends and neighbours.

Remember to respect others and be a responsible member of your Cuboree Pack. Make sure you look after

yourself and the other Cubs in your six.

As you arrive at Cuboree, you will have the chance to visit Cherry Lane, climb through the Fire Truck and learn about

Gilwell Park at Back to Gilwell.

There are also six other Cuboree Activities for you to experience over three days!

Over 200 Venturers and Rovers, as well as 1200 Leaders will be working very hard to make sure Cuboree is heaps

of fun for you!

fire safety in the outdoors, burn

First Aid and have a look over the

fire truck.

Once you have had a chat with

our friendly fire fighters you will

be given a blanket badge and be-

come a CFA Fire Wise Ranger.

DAY-TIMEWear your ID tag and Cuboree scarf at all times.Wear a hat and sun screen.Warm clothes and rain coats may be required. Check the weather in the mornings.Take your water bottle with you to all activities.Keep your tent tidy and your clothes neatly in your bag.

NIGHT-TIMEWarm dry clothes and rain jacket for evening activities.Use insect repellent if you have some.Get a good night’s sleep, the days will be very busy.If you go to the toilet during the night, take your torch.Know where your leader will be sleeping.

HEALTHEat lots. There will be plenty of food.Listen to your leaders so they can get you to activities on time.Let your Leader or First Aider know if you are unwell or hurt. They can help.Hygiene—Wash your hands and use the hand cleaner provided.Change your undies and socks every day.Have a shower when you can.Stay with your leaders when moving around the camp.

LOSTDon’t worry. There is a big “LOST CUBS MEET HERE” sign where you can wait safely until your leaders pick you up.Get your leader to show you this meeting place.Any adult at this camp can help you if you need anything. So don’t be afraid to ask.

And most important—have lots of FUN!!
