India stands as one of the last big untapped frontiers for the world’s $800bn car industry. As its per capita GDP goes up, this is going to be a huge market, ultimately one day bigger than China. India is destined to join the US and China in a “big three” of automotive nations.

The overall Passenger Vehicles segment grew at 4.66 percent. While there was a decline in three wheelers two Wheelers sales registered a growth of 14.16 percent. And overall vehicle exports registered a growth a growth of 25.44 percent .

But it’s a long way to go for Auto manufacturers and there are the quirks of India’s cost-conscious and demanding consumers as major hurdle. Vehicle buyers want plenty of features but they also expect suspension suitable for potholed roads, and extra-strong air conditioning fit for baking summers. Space in the back also matters in a country whose middle class still often enjoys chauffeur-driven comforts.

These preferences create challenges for global auto companies, which now try to offer fewer categories of vehicles. An engineer in America or Europe will find it really hard to get this combination of design and value right, hence why more development is going to shift into India.

Once confined to styling and appearance, the customers now look for aerodynamics, crash safety, and driver ergonomics, especially in the use of the many new onboard electronic devices and entertainment options.

Automotive design and styling conference will focus on creative aspects of designing, technologies and new dimensions of vehicle engineering.

This conference will give a profound insight into advanced techniques of design development and will cover the latest trends and international players in the global Auto industry.

This event is a very interactive forum where experts meet and exchange their know-how to set new ideas and standards for future innovations on automotive designing and styling.
