NEW DIREC-TION WITH PASKAL 3D

Refraction testing before PASKAL 3D: First one eye is mea-sured while the other is covered, then the other eye – and the procedure is rounded off by binocular calibration. PASKAL 3D breaks with this convention and uses the latest 3D-technology for a natural, comfortable and at the same time rapid refraction test. During the test, the patient relaxes by looking at a beautiful landscape and does not notice which images are offered to the

right and which to the left eye.

During the entire test the patients see separate images in the right and left eyes. The separation takes place in the phoropter and in measuring lenses via circular polarised filters. The eye charts are displayed with a 3D monitor, which circularly polarises the images line-by-line.

The PASKAL 3D experiential refraction system offers a standard series of eight tests, each of which follows on from the previous one

so that normally all requirements are met. In addition to values for a comfortable adjustment, the optician also gets information from about the patient‘s binocular and phorimetric status, stereopsis, dominance

and the visual contrast sensitivity. All this is achieved against a 3-D background that turns the eye test into an agreeable experience for the

customer. If required, other tests can be added.
