Pasindu Wanigarathne and Verane Peiris, the best friends from Ohio, USA received the President’s Award for Educational Excellence at the end of the 2012-13 school year. Pasindu (On left) finished 5th grade at Greentown Intermediate School and is 11- years- old. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing basketball. He was named the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of his team. He also plays viola for the school orchestra and enjoys doing a lot of volunteer work for his school. Verane (on right) is also 11- years-old and finished 6th grade at Clo-verleaf Middle School. Verane plays baseball and also has a black belt in karate. He enjoys playing the guitar. He is also an expert in solving upto a 5x5 Rubix cube. Both boys are in the school Honor Roll.
