BAREFOOT BOWLSBarefoot bowls is a great way to relax, enjoy the company of friends and an opportunity to make new ones.

Barefoot bowls requires no brilliant sporting prowess or superior motor skills and encompasses all levels of ability. All that is need-ed is a desire to have a go and have fun.

So kick off your shoes and enjoy a fun day with family, friends and colleagues. Give it a go, it’s easy to play, and fun to learn.

COST- $10 per person for 2-Hour Session- Includes: Bowls & Tuition

FOOTWEARFor Maximum Fun, we suggest either going Barefoot or Wearing Socks Only. Thongs and flat-footwear are also permitted.(Please Note: Footwear must be worn inside the Clubhouse - Barefeet inside the Club are not permitted at anytime).

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?A smile and a winning attitude! We provide everything you will need on the day to play bowls, how-ever we do suggest bringing a hat and sunscreen on Sunny Days.(Please Note: hats are not permitted within the Clubhouse)

HOW TO PLAYAn instructor will be with you at the beginning of your session to help you form teams and explain the basics of how to bowl cor-rectly.

RESTRICTIONS- Children Must be Age 10 Years or Older to Bowl, or to Stand on the Greens.- Night Bowls is available on request and subject to a minimum of at least 10 bowlers.

BBQ MENUS Our BBQ Menus offer a great value sit-down meal option for all budgets and tastes. BBQs are served buffet style and cooked by our chef for your group. BBQ Prices are inclusive of bowls (for minimum group size of 30 bowlers):

BUDGET BBQ - $25PP 150g Rib Fillet & Rich Brown Gravy Served with Full Salad Bar, including Freshly Made on Premise Pasta Salad & Chef’s Green Salad.

STANDARD BBQ - $30PP 150g Rib Fillet & Rich Brown Gravy, Selection of Chicken Skewers, Beef Sauages and Full Salad Bar, including Freshly Made on Prem-ise Pasta Salad & Chef’s Green Salad or Greek Salad.

VEGETARIAN - $25PPCamembert & Caramelised Onion Tartlet & a Selection of Mini Quiche Served with Full Salad Bar, including Freshly Made on Premise Pasta Salad & Chef’s Green Salad or Greek Salad.

BAR TABS For your convenience, we offer Bar Tabs for group bookings of 15 people or more. We shall provide you with Wristbands for you to distribute to members of your group. Simply notify Bar Staff that you have a Bar Tab and show them your wristband.

Bar Tabs can be limited to a dollar-spend amount (ie. $1000 limit) and/or to specific types of drinks (ie. Beers, Wines, Soft-Drinks).

Alternatively, your guests are able to purchase their own individual drinks from the bar at anytime.

LOCATION Club Kawana’s prime location on the Nicklin Way, makes for a con-vient spot to hold your next event on the Sunshine Coast. A quick 10 minute drive from either Caloundra or Mooloolaba, the club is centrally located with ample parking space, as well as courtesy bus and public transport (bus) services stopping right outside of the Club.

PARKINGClub Kawana offers ample Car Parking for you and all of your guests.

COURTESY BUS - 7 DAYSAlternatively, Club Kawana operates its Courtesy Bus 7-Days Per Week for Pick-Ups and Drop-Offs, South from Caloundra to North at Minyama.

ABOUT CLUB KAWANA

THE DECKThe Deck at Club Kawana is located off the main clubhouse and runs the entire length of the venue with expansive views overlooking our natural bowling greens.

CAPACITY- Standing & Seated Max Capacity : 80 people.

CAKES & DECORATIONS - BYO Cake with plates/serviettes welcome.- No ‘Cakeage’ Charge.- You are welcome to decorate the area with balloons, flowers, streamers etc. (Glitter or scatter decorations are not permitted.)

LIVE MUSIC - Unfortunately due to noise restricition agreements with our local neighbours and licensing restrictions, we regrettably are unable to permit live music, jukeboxes, DJs or karaoke on the Deck.

However, Club Kawana does provide Free Live Entertainment inside of the Club Every Friday and Saturday Night for all to enjoy.

PARTITION OF CLUBThe main clubhouse can be split with temporary partitions on the west end to give you and your guests your own space within the club to enjoy your function.

CHRISTMAS DINING OPTIONSClub Kawana can provide your Party with the Traditional Christmas Feel, with a Two-Course Christmas Roast.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS1. DEPOSITS & PAYMENTSA function booking will be confirmed on receipt of a completed and signed booking form along with payment of a deposit. Deposits required for functions where catering is required:• 0 - 39 People = $100 Deposit • 40 - 79 People = $200 Deposit • 80+ People = $300 DepositPayment can be made in person at the club, by credit card either over the phone or by completing the credit card authorisa-tion form or by direct deposit. If paying by direct deposit, please leave booking name and date as reference.

2. PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTFull payment for the bowls and food component of the function is required on arrival and if a bar tab is being utilised then a credit card must be held at the bar and settled immediately following the conclusion of the function. Final payment for the function shall be made by the client by credit card, EFT, or Cash.

3. CONFIRMATION OF GUEST NUMBERS/FINAL NUMBERS AND CATERINGFinal confirmation of guest numbers and catering requirements is required five (5) days prior to your function. Once your final numbers have been confirmed, approval to alter these numbers will be required for catering purposes. Please note: We will cater and invoice you for the confirmed numbers.

4. BYO FOOD & BEVERAGESStrictly no food or beverages may be brought into the Club by function organisers or their guests. Celebration cakes are acceptable. You are required to bring your own candles and cutlery for serving. No cakeage charged.

5. CHILDRENUnder no circumstances are children under the age of 10 permitted to bowl or be on the greens. Children must have direct supervision from a parent/guardian at all times and are not permitted in the bar or poker machine areas. If this condition is not adhered to, management reserves the right to ask guests with children to leave the venue.

6. CANCELLATIONSNotice of cancellation for a confirmed booking with a food component, must be given by the client and received by manage-ment in writing five (5) days prior to the date of the event.

7. RAINAs Lawn bowls is an outside event and we cannot control the weather, some activities may be hindered by inclement weath-er. If sprinkling or lightly raining, in most cases the event will still proceed.

8. PRICINGWhile every effort is taken to maintain menus and prices, management reserves the right to vary menus and pricing in re-sponse to product availability and cost increases.

9. FUNCTION TIMINGIt is the client’s responsibility to ensure that they attend the function on the specified time. Management will not be held re-sponsible should all guests not be punctual in arriving or being seated, or should speakers, attendees or the client delay the commencement of any event, or if any other interference beyond the control of the venue does not permit us to commence service at the contracted time. If the function begins after the specified starting time, it will still be subject to the finishing time specified in the event booking agreement specifications unless venue management agrees otherwise. Management has the right to close any function if the function is deemed to have broken any of the above-mentioned terms and conditions.

10. BEHAVIOURClub Kawana practices the Responsible Service of Alcohol and requires all guests to respect and adhere to the laws in relation to intoxication and responsible behaviour. Minors (under the age of 18) are welcome at the venue but must be super-vised at all times. Anyone who breaks the law and supplies minors with alcohol will be asked to leave the venue immedi-ately. The duty manager is fully responsible for the conduct and control of Members and Visitors within the Club and shall undertake any lawful action at any time to ensure that harmony and decorum of the club is sustained at a high standard for all Members and their guests.

11. INSURANCEThe club will take all necessary care but cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of any gifts or other possessions left on the club premises before, during or after functions. Responsibility for arranging any insurance lies with the client if desired.
