Dear Ontario, Fair Friends: From your past involvement, you are aware that Ontario fairs are an exciting industry. We want to make sure that you
don’t miss your opportunity to stay involved! We thank you very much for your past support. We would like to remind
you of this fabulous opportunity to expose your business to hundreds of thousands of people across Ontario! The Ontario
Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS) is the governing body for approximately 215 fairs across Ontario. The
Partnership Program of the OAAS is designed to generate the resources necessary for the development and delivery of
programs, activities and services provided by the Association for the benefit of the Ontario fair industry. Your continued
Partnership with the OAAS, offers these great opportunities!
The OAAS use their member fairs as a platform to educate and inform both rural and urban people about the history and
future of agriculture in Ontario and the world. This education is carried out in many different ways, with the main one
being the annual convention of approximately 1000 delegates held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto, February
16 – 18, 2017. The programs at the convention include keynote speakers, educational seminars, competition awards, and
an Ambassador program (a youth program that promotes public speaking, education and general success of youths aged
16 - 25). The OAAS also continues to act as a liaison with the government regarding fair and agricultural related issues.
We support all aspects of the fair industry.
The enclosed Partnership Program outlines how your contributions can directly affect the thousands of people who
are involved in the fair and agricultural businesses. Your support is valuable to the OAAS whether financial or in-
kind, in accomplishing its mission statement: “The Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies is a resource
for its members, providing leadership through communication and education, and encouraging the
promote a rural way of life in Ontario.”
We have attached a Partnership Agreement to this letter, which we would ask that you complete and return to our Office
Manager, Vince Brennan, 1911 Foxboro Stirling Rd, Stirling, Ontario K0K 3E0 by December 31, 2017. Should you have any
questions about the program, please contact us by phone or email.
Please take a moment and consider being a “Partner” of the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies once again.
Respectfully, Respectfully,
Vince Brennan Kathryn Lambert Office Manager Convention Administrator
