Q: How do partners access their Internal Use Rights benefits?A: A partners is required to sign up for a Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite trial using a Windows Live ID associated with an MSPP partner organization . During the sign-up process, they must enter the promo code “Partner”. After partner organization association has been confirmed, the trial will be extended to include up to 250 seats for one year.

Q: Why is Microsoft changing the IUR Benefits to partners?A: We would like to encourage broader adoption by partners. By offering 250 seats free for one year, we are providing partners with a better opportunity to experience the features of the Business Productivity Online Suite. Also, we have found that partners using our products and services are more credible while selling to customers, so we want partners to utilize our services within their organization more extensively.

Q: How is this different than the free demo accounts partners have access too?A: The IUR benefits are for partner’s internal use within their company only, and not for demoing Business Productivity Online Suite to customers*. Partners should continue to maintain a separate demo account, which will allow them to keep their internal information private. For more information on demo accounts and how to receive one, please visit www.quickstartonlineservices.com or look for instructions relating to the demo accounts in this document.

Q: How do partners renew their benefits after the 1st year?A: After 1 year partners will be eligible to renew the seats at no cost if they sell 2 customer deals of 25 seats or more, else they will need to renew at $5/USL/month.

Q: What steps should a partner take to stop their current IUR benefits accounts?A: No additional steps are required, the partners utilizing the current IUR benefits will automatically receive the price adjustment so that they get the seats are no cost on a going forward basis. No credit will be provided for the payments made until now by the partners.

2. Go to https://mocp.microsoftonline.com and complete registration for a trial account

3. Activate your account and begin customizing your domain

4. Contact Microsoft Online Services Support through MOCP https://mocp.microsoftonline.com/site/support.aspx to request a one-year extension of your existing account including Partner ID, Live ID, and Order Number in the email
