At the moment we are meeting twice a month.
Tutoring: Assessors go in couples to schools to see how his/her peer conducts the self assessment process, once the journey has finished, feedback is given to the assessor, and this has become one of the most significant tools for training.
Benchmarking: We have created the network “Colegios de la Excelencia”. The idea is to build a network of organizations which are in search for excellence, to benefit from their experience, best practices, knowledge, research and overall management improvement, facing global exchange of ideas, products and services.
Schools in the net are going to be able to share with worldwide schools, experiences with the EFQM Model, exchange of teachers, students, internships, discuss academic programs and in general to see what is going on in education all over the world.
Legal Aspects: In Colombia, the Government regulated the use of quality models for the education sector; we were paramount in the creation with the Ministry of Education of local regulation, which means that the Government of Colombia adopted the most suitable tools to recognise quality and excellence in the Colombian schools.
By means of this piece of legislation, Colombia has adopted the following recognition or certification tools: EFQM, Advanced, Neasc, ISO, and two others.
This was a step forward in the quality movement in Colombia, very few years ago only ISO was used in this country.
Physical Facilities: We just moved to a new and nice office, located in one of the most important and recognized business headquarters in Bogotá. The office is equipped with modern technology and we are constantly improving and feeding the web page.
Human Resources: We have 10 free‐lance assessors with a comprehensive experience with the EFQM Model.
The administrative tasks and the follow up to school ongoing processes are supported by three people hired directly by the FCE.
Customer Service Evaluation: Schools have high positive perception of the services the FCE is rendering to them by means of the application of the EFQM Excellence Model. The overall positive perception is over the 90%.
