Welcome to the Third International Seminar of Art of Hosting in Singapore! This year, Singapore celebrates its 50th Year of Independence. The 50th year is a profound milestone for Singapore to celebrate and to contemplate on the journey of 50 years of a nation. We invite you to experientially learn processes to support in your hosting and harvesting of conversations that matter; appreciating the past, acknowledging the present and engaging to fortify the future with wiser results.

Join us in the practice of powerful framework and practical methodologies that enables you to strategically evoke leadership, shared responsibility and how to focus conversations. This could be applied in meetings, with small and large teams and for multi stakeholder collaboration.

Learn to apply a co creative attitude, tools and methods that support people to get fully engaged. It empowers individuals and teams to become clear on their purposes and directions, craft powerful questions, design processes that work, create conversations that matter and take action towards desired and wiser results.

Calling Questions • What can we learn from global, cutting - edge participatory methodologies to

bring about transformational shifts that work in our culture, where we invest our time and resources for wiser results?

• How far can ‘Decide – Buy In – Advocate – Defend’ really go? What if we the culture were ‘Inquire – Discover – Collaborate – Act’?

• What is my leading style? Who am I when I lead? How can I develop courage and confidence in working with chaos and fear in groups?

• How can we inspire people to step up to share more responsibility, bring creative ideas and take wise, sustainable action?

• How can we tap in the best of authentic involvement and strengths across diversity in generations and cultures? How can we build capacity within our systems to lead through complexity?

What Outcomes are you hoping for? Workshop is based on Art of Hosting and Harvesting what matters practice (www.artofhosting.org)

• Experience based introduction to participatory leadership methods and practices

• Explore the practice of participatory leadership and what it means to you and your team, organization and the purposes you work for.

• Learn basic participatory leadership principles which can be used immediately

• Distinction and Application for the diverse group process:- Designing for wiser action – a practical way to help each

other prepare and plan for wiser action.- Open Space Technology – simple form of group meeting.

Open Space works best when the work to be done is complex, the people and ideas involved are diverse, the passion for resolution (and potential for conflict) are high, and the time to get it done was yesterday. See video – Open Space or web site for Open space.

- Pro-action café - conversational process that helps to move from questions to actions. See video Pro-action café

- World café – the World Café methodology is a simple, effective, and flexible format for hosting small and large group dialogue. See Video: World café

- Circle process – Basic form of group conversational practice. Creates deep dialogue and opportunity to see new solutions to old problems. See Video: Circle process

- Appreciative Inquiry – Understand the power of Inquiry, eliciting story telling and experience change, looking at what works rather than looking at problems.

What is the Art of Hosting and Harvesting Conversations that Matter?The Art of Hosting is a highly effective way of harnessing the collective wisdom and self-organizing capacity of groups of any size. Natasha Dalmia

Natasha Dalmia is an Author, International Leadership Facilitator, Organisation Development Consultant & ICF accredited Executive Coach. She is committed to the field of

paradigm shifting ways of mindful unlearning-learning, contemplative leading and conscious living and healing. She serves by creatively designing a mix of human centered and innovative practices in transformative work for organisations, communities and individuals. She is born near Darjeeling, India, is currently based in Singapore, working as a Senior Consultant in Sequoia Group Pte Ltd. Natasha has found home to be in many conscious living spaces in the world and urges you to discover yours.

Zafirah Mohamed

Zafirah Mohamed is Senior Consultant and Coach with the Sequoia Group, specialising in Organisation Development (OD), Strategy, Change Management and Sustainability. She designs and facilitates OD interventions for clients from both private and public sector organisations. Marc Levitte

Marc has worked for over 25 years with numerous companies, on the 5 continents in multicultural environments, in the areas of coaching, management and leadership, designing specific seminars to meet the needs of his clients and conducting training for trainers.Marc operates also with humanitarian and community projects, including with post conflict situations. He uses participatory and collaborative leadership methods creating an open and comfortable space to foster expression of individual and collective passion and responsibility for wiser actions.
