Canterbury Christ Church University

Canterbury Christ Church dates back to 1962, when it was founded by the Church of England as a centre for teacher training, called Christ Church College. The University of Bradford received our Charter in 1966, becoming the 40th University in the UK. However, our origins lie in technology as The Mechanics Institute, founded in 1832.
