University of Winchester With a history dating back to 1840, yet with some of the most modern teaching facilities in the UK, the University of Winchester is home to some 8000 students and 400 International students from 50 countries. Our international students are integrated with our UK students both in teaching and accommodation, giving all of the students at Winchester the chance to make friends and experience international cultures from Albania to Zimbabwe, and everywhere in between. Our policy of strong academic support, small-group culture, and teaching within one of the UK’s highest-ranked, most beautiful cities is hugely successful with many students. The University gives an opportunity to welcome students onto a range of programmes at levels from Bachelors, Masters to Doctoral Research. The international students at the University of Winchester consistently tell us how much they enjoy studying with us and that the teaching style at Winchester allows them to realise their full potential. Many take part-time jobs whilst here and go on to work in Winchester and beyond after they’ve finished their studies. The shopping is good too! In 2010, Winchester was one of only six cities in the UK to win a coveted Purple Flag, which recognizes cities that are safe and enjoyable places. Therefore we invite you to join us here at the University to see for yourself why so many students are keen to study on our programmes and to make the most of life in such a beautiful environment. www.winchester.ac.uk [email protected]
