Annex 1 - Mandatory conditions

The Mandatory Conditions are attached and form part of the Operating Schedule of your licence/certificate. You must ensure that the operation of the licensed premises complies with the attached Mandatory Conditions as well as the Conditions in Annex 2 and Annex 3 (if applicable). Failure to do this can lead to prosecution or review of the licence.

Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule

1. A CCTV system shall be installed at the premises and maintained ingood working order and used at all times when the premises are open forlicensable activities.

2. Any CCTV footage shall be held for at least 31 days and shall be madeavailable to an officer of the Licensing Authority or Police on reasonablerequest.

3. Cameras shall be sited so as to ensure coverage of entrances, exitsand effective coverage of internal and external customer areas.

4. The CCTV system shall be of sufficient quality to capture any personentering the premises in any light condition and operate under existing lightlevels within and outside the premises.

5. Cameras overlooking floor areas should be wide angled to give anoverview of the premises.

6. Cameras shall provide a linked record of the date, time and place of anyimage.

7. The recording device for the CCTV system shall be located in a securearea or locked cabinet.

8. The CCTV system shall have a monitor to review images and recordedpicture quality.

9. An incident log book (which may be electronic) shall be kept on thepremises and made available on request to an authorised officer of theCouncil or Police which will record the following:-a. Any incidents of disorderb. Any seizures of drugs or offensive weaponsc. Any ejections of patrons

10. Alcoholic and other drinks shall not be removed from the premises inopen containers save for consumption in the external areas provided for thatpurpose.

11. All staff shall receive induction and refresher training (at least everythree months) relating to the sale of alcohol and the terms and conditions ofthis licence. Training shall be documented and records shall be kept for 12

months and made available to an authorised officer of the police and / or local authority on request.

12. Reasonable steps will be taken to recognise the rights of localresidents and notices will be displayed at the premises exits requestingcustomers to leave quietly and reminding them that they are in a residentialarea.

13. All doors and windows shall be kept closed when regulatedentertainment in the form of live or recorded music is taking place, except foraccess and egress.

14. A sound limiting device shall be fitted to the musical amplificationsystem which is set and maintained at a level which ensures no noise shallemanate from the premises nor vibration be transmitted through the structureof the premises which gives rise to a public nuisance.

15. The premises must operate the Local Authority or similar proof of agescheme and display the relevant material. Only passport, photographicdriving licences or ID with the P.A.S.S. logo (Proof of Age Standards Scheme)may be accepted.

16. A log (which may be electronic) shall be kept detailing all refused salesof alcohol. The log shall include the date and time of the refusal and the nameof the member of staff who refused the sale. A copy of the log or electronicreport shall be made available upon reasonable request.

17. Signs shall be prominently displayed on the exit doors and immediatelyoutside the premises in the outside seating area advising customers that thepremises is in a 'Designated Public Place Order' and that alcohol should notbe should not be taken off the outside seating area and consumed in thestreet. These notices shall be positioned at eye level and in a location wherethose leaving the premises can read them.

18. At least 4 prominent, clear and legible notices shall be displayedthroughout the premises warning customers that drug use will not betolerated.

19. Children under the age of 18 shall not be permitted on the premisesafter 23:00.
