Once again we would like to thank Double C Red Angus for their generous donation to this special event. The folks who continue to support us over the years we also would like to thank you. The scholarship program is one that is highly valued by us and it is you who continue to make it possible. Double C Red Angus have dug deep into their pens and gave us a Roka heifer calf, a treasured line at their farm. Again this year it will be a "Dutch Auction" process just before the Masterpiece Sale commences. The heifer will not be at Agribition but can be delivered there for transport to her new home, or arrangements can be made for a later date, at the winners convenience.

THE ORIGINAL "SALT LICK" PENCIL SKETCH WILL BE SOLD FOLLOWING THE DONATION HEIFER AUCTION.

HAMILTON FARMSROB & GAIL HAMILTON 403-932-5980

Tibbie 40A is a female that will top your brood cow pen, both phenotypically and with a rock solid pedigree. This heifer calf combines two of the greatest sires in the industry – HF Tiger 5T (World Angus Forum Champion Bull), who has sired more sale toppers and show winners than we have room to mention, and Connealy Consensus 7229 who just continues to excel in all areas, proving to be a leader in calving ease, as well as in the weaning, yearling and marbling traits. The Consensus progeny are very correct and functional cattle with the first lactating females doing an extremely impressive job on their first calves. The Tiger, Consensus cross females have udders to die for, resulting in calves with outstanding performance. And to top it all off, a disposition that you love to be around, such an immeasurable trait.

HF Rosebud 98P (dam of 61A) has hit a home run again, mated with yet another sire. This is the type of cow that will connect with any bull, and then produce the top cut in your weaned calves, consistently. Rosebud 61A is an ultra-feminine, deep, and long bodied female, with plenty of muscle shape, great hair and eye appeal. You will admire her freshness and character as you browse the heifer pen at Hamilton Farms. Her maternal sister by Connealy Consensus 7229 sold last year in the Masterpiece Sale to Glen Gabel Angus of Regina for $7000. Also listed in 98P’s repertoire of sale toppers are: HF Prowler 43U, owned by Boss Premier Cattle, who was eventually sold in Denver for $100,000 for half interest to Werner Angus, Reisig Cattle, ZWT Ranch and Buford Ranch. Ivan Demmans from Nesset Lake Angus purchased a son (HF Sequel 40Y) for $22,000 and Desmond Rasmussen purchased another son for $12,5000. HF Rebel 53Y, on the top side of the pedigree is no slouch either. HF Rebel 53Y is one of HF Tiger 5T’s top sons, as well as the high selling bull in the Hamilton Farms Sale 2011, purchased by Stevenson Angus Ranch, MT, TC Ranch, NE, and Green Angus Ranch, MT for $95,000 for 2/3 interest. Rebel calves have met all expectations and more, and Rosebud 61A will be the first progeny to sell at public auction. The semen has been kept exclusive to date so don’t miss this rare opportunity to take home a great one.

Here are the two females, that when Bob was out selecting he couldn’t decide which heifer he loved more, so we decided to bring both to this year’s Masterpiece Sale. I feel these heifers are two of the very best that we have raised to date. They are sisters sired by JL Warden 1220, a bull we selected out of the great Johnson Livestock program at Peebles. Dave and Andrew both told me on separate occasions that this bull, 1220, was out of one of their very best females. He is sired by Sitz Upward 307R and his dam is out of Four Seasons 5231, a SAV Traveler 004 son. Warden 1220 has done a phenomenal job for us. His progeny are all tremendous, sound, big middled, thick made and amazingly structured cattle that are truly the right kind. It is very tough for me to me to part with females like this; unfortunately this will be the only calf crop we get from him due to a bad back injury he suffered last fall. I really can’t say enough about both of these females. 276A is a very sweet made female that profiles amazingly. I just love her hip and leg structure and how incredibly smooth fronted she is. 279A is a very long spined heifer that has brood cow written all over her. She is super thick, big footed and combines all that with a ton of neck extension.

45A is out of our Crescent Creek Emblazon bull we purchased from Wes Olynyk. He has gone on to raise excellent replacement females for us and 45 is no exception. Don’t miss this flashy heifer sale day.

This is a heifer that is hard to part with. 7A is right off the top of our heifer pen. A Predominate heifer that is long bodied with great extension thru the front. Her dam is a first calver and has done an excellent job. 7A's sire was the high seller at the Diamond T Cattle Co. Sale. Here is an opportunity to purchase a heifer with an exciting future. Don't miss out!!!

21A has been a stand out since birth. A sweetheart of a heifer that puts it all together! Alisa is an attractive package with her style and shape. Her sire is Duralta Turbo 71X that was high seller at Durie's sale. Turbo is a true breeder leaving sweet females and powerful bulls. Alisa's paternal brother was our all time high seller at our bull sale last year. 21A's dam is a moderate cow with a tremendous udder. DFCC 71X ALISA 21A will be a great addition to any herd. Take a look here if you want one to road next summer and take home some jack-pot money or if you haven’t found your junior heifer yet. Ruby is moderate framed but will really pound down the scales. She is super round ribbed, big hipped, balanced and has that jacked out front end you want for the show ring and…….she can strut. We are very happy with the group of Upshot calves we have and feel this heifer has unlimited potential as a cow when you are done showing her. Her dam is an Emblazon female that came from the great Crescent Creek herd and is proving to be a never miss workhorse. Don’t miss this one. Ruby will stand some lusty competition next year.

S7R RUBY 58ALOT 115

We are offering, in our opinion, an outstanding show heifer prospect. Her beautiful profile and femininity will catch your eye and her depth, length of body, power and smoothness will keep you looking. This heifer not only has eye appeal, her genetics are nice to look at too. She is sired by FCF Windfall 112Y, a bull we purchased with Triple L Livestock from Four Corners Farm out of Illinois. We are thrilled with what he is producing for us, you can see why. Her dam is a heifer we bought out of the Eastondale program, and for a first calf heifer we are pleased with what she produced for us. This little lady is the reigning 2013 Gold Show heifer champion! Wrights 112 Pride 14A has unlimited potential in whichever direction you choose to take her. Show heifer to replacement heifer, she will not disappoint.

SERVICE : A.I. TO CONNEALY CONSENSUS 7229 ON MAY 12. SAFE TO A.I. EXPOSED MAY 31ST TO JUNE 28TH TO FRL ROUGE 17Y We are very proud of the quality of the bred heifer we have offered up for this year’s edition of the Masterpiece Sale. We believe she is going to become a very good mother cow that you can count on for years to come. Her dam is a Dryland Iceberg 231M daughter. Iceberg is of course a son of the great GDAR Forever Lady 9136 cow. We do have a few of these Iceberg daughters working in our herd and all are easy fleshing mother cows. She is carrying a calf sired by the number one used A.I. sire in North America Connealy Consensus 7229. His son’s constantly top bull sale’s in North America.

Definitely a female we would love to keep around for a piece of our program but realize the need to sell the very good ones as well. We have been one of only a few programs to use the Cole Creek Black Cedar 46P bull in Canada. He is the sire of the Genex bull Cole Creek Cedar Ridge that saw a great deal of use in A.I. programs across North America this past spring. The only other direct daughter of Black Cedar 46P that we know of selling was in our spring bull sale where she was the high selling open female purchased by Black Creek Cattle of Carroll, MB. Ruby 9’13’s dam is a extremely good first calf heifer sired by the 2009 Reserve Champion bull at the World Angus Forum, Eastondale Break Away 32’07 ! Maternal sister to this female’s dam was a high selling heifer calf in a past Masterpiece sale, selling to Lookout Stock Farm she then went on to be one of their high selling females in their dispersal sale. Have a long look and study the maternal pedigree in this female her granddam was one of the all time high selling bred heifers at the Angus Pride sale. If you are serious about finding a female to be a cornerstone female to build a great cow family out of, you need to consider what this female has to offer, she is not just another heifer calf!
