Weekly Mass Schedule Family News: There are so many decisions to be made as we prepare to begin to live as a Family of Parishes. Weekend mass schedules, weekday mass schedule, celebration of sacraments, ministry to the elementary and secondary schools, Pastoral Staff responsibilities, needs of the Clerical Staff, finances, parish organizations, liturgical ministries, community involvements, living accommodations and the list seems endless. It is impossible to consult on every decision that needs to be made. The Transition Team is comprised of two members from each parish (approved by the current Pastor) who is to bring forth the needs of each community and to work together with the Pastoral Team to bring about consensus in the decisions that are rendered. Consensus does not mean that everyone will be in accord with the decision. It means that we can live with the decision that has been made for the good of everyone concerned. Concerns and recommendations are to be brought to your parish representatives, who in turn are to bring them forth to the whole Transition Team. Their goal is to be concerned with the “Family”.
World Day for Vocations: Today the Church throughout the world prays for vocations. Will you make a special effort to ask the Lord for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life?
Pray for the priests who have ministered to you throughout your life, both living and dead.
Keep our parish priests in your prayers throughout the week.
Encourage your children, grandchildren or other young people to consider a vocation as a priest or religious brother or sister.
Pray a rosary for more young men and women in our diocese to respond to God’s call.
Pray for the sick, especially Marie Zappio, Bernard Drouillard, Bette Dunn, Ed Primeau and Maxine Shelley.
Pray for the deceased, especially Fr. Rene Giroux, Gerald Lemay, husband of Virginia and Heidi Juodikis, grandmother of Jessica McGuire-Wasylowich, that they may find peace in the loving arms of the Lord.

National Week for Life and the Family: This year’s theme is “Listening to the Gospel as a Family” – In our information age much of the news we hear is often negative. Now we have to contend with not only bad news but
fake news. What we really is good news. Our loving encounter with Jesus, the God-Man is truly good news that sets us free and brings us joy. Pope Francis tells us that “the joy of the gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus” and when “we have received the love which restores meaning to our lives, how can we fail to share that love with others?” (Evangelii Gaudium, 1 & 8). Let us experience God’s love for us by taking time to listen to the gospel as a family so that we may share with others the joy of the gospel. Please visit- https://www.cccb.ca/site/eng/church-in-canada-and-world/catholic-church-in-canada/life-and-family/5041-2019-national-week-for-life-and-the-family .
Year of Prayer: With great passion, Pope Francis is making a call for new evangelization. It is an urgent call that for the sake of our Church, we must heed. Therefore, beginning Pentecost Sunday, June 9th , and lasting until the next Pentecost Sunday, May 31st 2020, the Diocese of London will observe a special “Year of Prayer” for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our local Church as we seek to be a mission-oriented Church that forms disciples of Jesus. We will join together in prayer that God will equip the saints (Eph 4:12) of our local Church to carry out our share in the mission of Jesus. Over the next year, new initiatives and newsletters will be published to assist us in spreading the Gospel.
Green Thumb? The Gardening Committee will begin work in the gardens this Friday at 9am (weather permitting). New members are always welcome. It’s a great way to get some fresh air, exercise and spend some time with other parishioners.
Elevator Keys: If you or a family member have an elevator key that you are no longer using, please return it to the parish office as soon as possible.
Anointing Mass will be celebrated in
the parish hall on Thursday, May 16th at 11am. If you have not yet RSVP’d, or
would like to attend the mass and luncheon afterwards, please contact the parish secretary. All parishioners are welcome.
