Well after Pokémon…. Flossing…. Minecraft; the newest craze is now in full flow: ‘Fortnite.’ The difference with this new fad is tiredness. Children up and down the country are staying up ridiculously late playing the game and chatting online. Here at Parklands and around the country children are falling asleep on their desks and who knows who they were chatting with until the early hours. So, on the website I have put some great resources showing how you can keep your children safe in the Digital World of today. Please, please, please read it as I hate to say that there are more ‘paedophiles’ who act as children on line, grooming children than ever before! Look at the smiles in Y4 and look what an awesome job they have done in our Garden. We are so proud of our outdoor learning and the quality of the crops that we have grown. Chickens next! Sadly; before I can have chickens in the garden, I must ensure that they are safe. Last summer we had the worst vandalism ever with £1000’s of damage. Last week the children were scared and upset when the sunshine brought the vandals back. They smashed x3 windows and stole 5 trikes from Reception. Why they would need these I don’t know? This is OUR school, so if you see or hear anything – let me know. They were caught on CCTV and parents
