Description of parts

Usage

1. Locate an area to position the sensors, which is at least 75cm from the ground. Please note that depending on the make and model of the Vehicle, this may either be on the bumpers of the car, or on the boot. Ensuring the selected area is free from dirt, attach the sensors to the car with the adhesive backing so that they are between 80 and 110cm apart. 2. Check to make sure that there are no rubber seals around your car boot, and that the panel gap between the boot door and the panel is at least as wide as the wires supplied. Run the wires through your boot opening, making sure that enough cable slack between the sensors and the main unit is maintained so that the boot can open.3. Connect the red RCA jack with the red RCA socket on the main unit.4. Connect the white RCA jack to the white RCA socket on the main unit.5. Place the main unit in a location of your choice in your car.

To power the unit using batteriesThe parking sensor can be powered either by batteries, or by your car cigarette lighter socket as follows:

By battery:Making sure that the unit is not connected to your car cigarette lighter socket, insert 3 x AA batteries (not

To power the unit from your car cigarette lighter socket1. Remove your car cigarette lighter, store in a safe place.

Please note that when using batteries, the unit should only be switched on when required (e.g. when you are trying to park).

2. Ensure no batteries are installed in the main unit.s cigarette socket.

4. Ensure the red light on the plug is off. If it is on, press the button on the side of the plug to turn it off.5. Insert the jack at the end of wire coming out of the cigarette plug into the side of the main unit and switch

the main unit on/off switch to the on position (labelled 9). This switch should remain in the on position whilstpowering the unit on or off using the switch on the cigarette lighter adaptor.

6. You can now turn the cigarette plug on to use the sensor. It is recommended that you turn off the unitwhen you do not intend to use the sensor (remember to do this if anyone borrows your car).

Using the Sensor

1. After setting up the unit as described, ensure the unit is turned on.2. Carry out your parking maneuver (taking as much care and control as if you did not have the

sensor). This unit does not replace your mirrors, indicators or any other safety precautions youshould use to ensure the safety of yourself, your passengers, other vehicles or pedestrians.

3. The main unit should emit a slow beeping tone when there is between 100 and 61cm between thesensors and the nearest object in the field of view.

4. When you get nearer to the object the tone will change, and when you are between 60 and 41 cmfrom an object the sensor will beep faster. Then between 40 and zero cm away the beep is constant.Note that any movement in this 40-0 cm zone should be kept to a minimum and, if possible, avoideddue to small movements possibly leading to contact with your car. Remember that the beeps indicate the distance between the sensor and object, not your tow bar and the object.

5. It is recommended you check the unit is working properly by putting your hand in front of the sensorat different distances before first use. We accept no liability for any damage/injury caused due tolack of care when driving your vehicle.

6. To conserve battery power, the main unit has built in auto power off circuitry. When an object is at afixed distance from the sensors for about 12 seconds, the sensor stops beeping. The sensor startsworking again automatically when the distance to the object changes.
