My Dear Parish Family,
Merry Christmas and
Happy New Year! Happy
Feast of the Epiphany! Now
that we have begun a New
Year and a new journey, we
must ask ourselves, how we
will make use of our time?
What improvements shall we make in our
lives? In what direction shall we look?
Perhaps the words of Eleanor Farjeon,
inspired by Sacred Scripture, can help us
find our direction on life’s compass:
“People, look East! The time is near-
Of the crowning of the year.
Make your house fair as you are able,
Trim the hearth and set the table.
People, look East and sing today:
Love, the Guest, is on the way.”
Such great words of joy should inspire us
all to hold dear to the truths that have been
born into our world. Christ our Redeemer
has been born! The three wise men have
found the Christ Child and have adored Him!
Let us embrace the example that our
Mother the Church has given us throughout
the centuries as we together turn to the East,
ad orientem, to joyfully await the coming of
the rising Son!
Please continue to pray for me as I will pray
for you.
Rev. Brian Patrick Woodrow
