Sponsor Contract is due If your child is in their 2nd year of First Communion preparation class this year, you are required to turn in a green sponsor contract signed by your child’s sponsor. Please submit this contract no later than Monday, Dec. 21. If you have questions or if you did not receive a contract with the registration materials, contact Sheri in the parish
Mandatory First
Communion Parent
Education Class If you have a child in 1st or 2nd year First Communion preparation class this year (any location) and you missed the mandatory class taught by Father Flores on Nov. 22, please contact Sheri in the parish office.
WINTER WEATHER POLICY If school is cancelled due to winter weather conditions, we will also cancel Religious Education classes for that day. This is to ensure the safety of everyone involved in our programs at all locations.
Donate Candy
for Christmas
Project As we prepare for Christmas, the children in our program will be making handmade Christmas cards during their RE class to include in this year’s food boxes for those in need in our community. Parents—we would like to include a sweet treat as well. Please give donations of wrapped chocolate candies to your child’s teacher or drop off at the parish office before December 18th. Thank you!
Service Hour Opportunities If your child is in 1st or 2nd year First Communion preparation classes this year, you are required to provide 10 hours of service to our parish. Some ways to provide hours:
We need help preparing the church for Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12th. Help is needed Dec. 10-12th. Please contact the parish office to sign up.
We need help cleaning up on Sundays at 2:30pm. If you can help in this capacity, please contact Sheri in the parish office to coordinate.

Dec. 20: Life Night at OLV Teens are invited to a Life Night at OLV on Dec. 20. The night includes a family Mass, tacos for dinner, and trivia with prizes. St. Paul’s teens will join us. They outnumbered us for the first Life Night in October—let’s get them back at our place! Here is the schedule for the night:
5:00-6:00PM MASS
The entire family is invited to Mass with great music, dynamic preaching, and the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
6:00-6:30PM TACOS
Following Mass, teens should gather in Holy Family Hall (gym) for tacos prepared by the great cooks from our parish.
6:30-7:30PM TRIVIA
Teens will compete in a trivia challenge at their tables to see who has the most useless knowledge to spare. Prizes will be awarded to the winning table.

MINSTERIO FAMILIAR Horas de Servicio Comunitario Si su hijo/a esta en 1 o 2 año de Clases Preparación e Primera Comunión, Usted esta requerido hacer 10 horas de servicio para la Iglesia.
Necesitamos ayuda para la fiesta de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe el 12 de Diciembre necesitáremos ayuda para arreglar del 10 al 12 de diciembre por favor llame a la oficina de la parroquia para anotarse.

20 de Dic: Life Night en NSV Los jóvenes están invitados el 20 de Diciembre a una convivencia en
NSV. La convivencia incluye una misa familiar, cena con tacos, y trivial
con premios. Los jóvenes de la Parroquia de San Pablo asistirán también
a esta convivencia familiar. Ellos nos superaron en asistencia en la prime-
ra convivencia familiar que fue en octubre en San pablo esperamos tener
más asistencia de jóvenes de NSV! Este es el horario de la noche:
5:00-6:00PM MISA Toda la familia esta invitada a misa con música, predicación, dinámicas y la presencia real de Jesucristo en la Eucaristía.
6:00-6:30PM TACOS Después de la misa los jovenes tendran una convivencia en el salon La Sagrada Familia (gym) tendremos tacos preparados por los cocineros de nuestra parroquia.
6:30-7:30PM TRIVIA Los Jóvenes competirán en un desafío trivial en sus mesas para ver quién tiene el más competente.

PRO-LIFE CHOCOLATE! Help keep the large
She was Unplanned billboards up for one year by
purchasing organic/fair trade chocolate bars. The bars cost
$4.00 and 100% of the profits ($1.50 per bar) go towards the
billboards.

Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers is coming to Our Lady of the Valley. He is dedicated to the promotion of Catholic values, principles and teaching in complete faithfulness and total submission to Holy Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the Magisterium. He is a permanent deacon of the Archdiocese of
Portland in Oregon. He has a new publication “Behold the Man” (Ignatius Press). Deacon Burke-Sivers will be speaking at Our Lady of the Valley December 5-9th.
