    Preliminary Plan for Parish Restructuring in the Diocese of Erie Northern Vicariate (Erie, Forest and Warren counties)

    New stand-alone parishes with secondary churches as a result of mergers: 

    Holy Rosary Parish, Erie 

    St. John the Baptist Parish, Erie , will merge into Holy Rosary Parish, Erie.

    Parish church: Holy Rosary Secondary church: St. John the Baptist

    Our Mother of Sorrows Parish, Erie 

    There is no church building named Our Mother of Sorrows. The parish was created in

    2009 when St. Ann Parish , St. Casimir Parish and Holy Family Parish, all in Erie,

    were merged, but has never had a properly designated parish church. In addition, St.

    Hedwig Parish, Erie , will merge into Our Mother of Sorrows Parish, Erie.

    Parish church: St. Ann 

    Secondary churches: Holy Family Church

    St. Casimir Church

    St. Hedwig Church 

    Our Lady of the Lake Parish, Edinboro

    St. Philip Parish, Crossingville, will merge into Our Lady of the Lake Parish, Edin-

     boro.

    St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Corry

    St. Elizabeth Parish, Corry , will be merged into St. Thomas the Apostle Parish,  

    Corry.

    Holy Redeemer Parish, Warren 

    St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Sheeld, will merge into Holy Redeemer Parish, Warren.

    St. Joseph Parish, Warren 

    St. Luke Parish, Youngsville, will be merged into St. Joseph Parish, Warren.

    St. Mark the Evangelist Parish, Erie

    St. Jude the Apostle Parish, Erie, and St. Andrew Parish, Erie 

    St. Paul Parish , Erie, and Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Erie 

    In addition to sharing a pastor, a permanent deacon will be assigned to assist with the administra-

    tion of St. Paul Parish.

    The following churches in the Northern Vicariate will remain stand-alone par-

    ishes with no change at this time: 

    All Saints Parish, Waterford 

    Blessed Sacrament Parish, Erie 

    Holy Cross Parish, Fairview 

    Holy Trinity Parish, Erie 

    Our Lady of Mercy Parish, Harborcreek
