Starting from 2015, public transports will be improved by the creation of a bus line with dedicated corridor in the campus. It will offer a fast, reliable connexion to the Massy-Palaiseau transport hub and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. The first section of line 18 of the Grand Paris network, between Massy-Palaiseau and Saclay, will be in service by 2023. A station will be created in each of the neighbourhoods of urban campus. Paris-Saclay is an exceptional scientific and economic project, destined to be a driver for growth and job creation. With the «Grand Paris» Act of June 3, 2010, the state underlined its intention to lend proactive sup- port to the Paris-Saclay project’s goals of strengthening the university and research offer, significantly increa- sing the territory’s capacity to generate industrial and social development and turning it into one of the top ten global innovation clusters. Paris-Saclay is a major territorial planning project conceived for a threefold development of business, research institutions and the residents’ quality of life, and in so doing to become a key competitive advan- tage in a highly competitive global environment. With its academic excellence, the reputation of its higher education institutions, the concentration of research and development activities, the industrial strength of its major hubs situated on both Essonne and Yvelines departments, its network of innovative SMEs, Paris-Saclay has all the assets to meet the challenges of a world economy undergoing profound change and adapt to the innovation model of the 21 st century. The state is undertaking an unprecedented financial effort through future investments, with € 1.5 billion channelled into university building projects (Campus Operation and grant funding) and € 1 billion for Paris- Saclay laboratories and facilities of excellence, plus the creation of line 18 of the Grand Paris Metro. As contracting authority for the urban planning and development of this territory, the Paris-Saclay Public Autho- rity (or EPPS) is working closely with the local authorities to make this project of national interest a balanced regional development project. It is mobilising industry players to stimulate growth around strategic sectors (aerospace, defence, automotive, information science and technology, communication and systems [STICS], life sciences, etc.). The Paris-Saclay Public Authority is also partnering the scientific project led by Paris-Saclay Foundation for Scientific Cooperation (FCS). Together they are bringing together academic players within what is to become one of the world’s major campuses, in order to strengthen links between public and private research and promote innovation and enterprise. Built around some of France’s leading historical scientific institutions (Université Paris-Sud, Ecole Polytechnique, CEA, Supélec, etc.) and with the arrival of a new wave of aca- demic institutions and businesses, the urban campus will be a focal point and a source of intellectual and technological creativity. The Paris-Saclay Public Authority is the developer for two joint development areas, the Ecole Polytechnique district and the Moulon district.

With the «Grand Paris» Act of June 3, 2010, the state underlined its intention to lend proactive sup-port to the Paris-Saclay project’s goals of strengthening the university and research offer, significantly increa-sing the territory’s capacity to generate industrial and social development and turning it into one of the top ten global innovation clusters.

Paris-Saclay is a major territorial planning project conceived for a threefold development of business, research institutions and the residents’ quality of life, and in so doing to become a key competitive advan-tage in a highly competitive global environment. With its academic excellence, the reputation of its higher education institutions, the concentration of research and development activities, the industrial strength of its major hubs situated on both Essonne and Yvelines departments, its network of innovative SMEs, Paris-Saclay has all the assets to meet the challenges of a world economy undergoing profound change and adapt to the innovation model of the 21st century.

The state is undertaking an unprecedented financial effort through future investments, with € 1.5 billion channelled into university building projects (Campus Operation and grant funding) and € 1 billion for Paris-Saclay laboratories and facilities of excellence, plus the creation of line 18 of the Grand Paris Metro. As contracting authority for the urban planning and development of this territory, the Paris-Saclay Public Autho-rity (or EPPS) is working closely with the local authorities to make this project of national interest a balanced regional development project.

Built around some of France’s leading historical scientific institutions (Université Paris-Sud, Ecole Polytechnique, CEA, Supélec, etc.) and with the arrival of a new wave of aca-demic institutions and businesses, the urban campus will be a focal point and a source of intellectual and technological creativity. The Paris-Saclay Public Authority is the developer for two joint development areas, the Ecole Polytechnique district and the Moulon district.
