Head Start’s commitment to wellness embraces a comprehensive vision of health for children and families. A complete physical exam is required so that we can ensure that if children’s health and developmental concerns are identified, children and families are linked to a source of continuous, accessible care (Medical Home) to meet their basic health needs. The focus of Head Start health services is prevention and early intervention.
