We would like to know what level Cambridge system is in compared to NCEA esp Yr 8 or some form of comparison.Occasionally too much emphasis on speed of written answers than actual knowledge of topic/answer.Would like more Science experimentsMore tech type subjects for years 7 and 8 perhaps an off‐site visit to achieve this.  Kids to have a little creative fun.Cooking has been good.Thank you for the additional support of our children.Some 'Boy Specific'' activities e.g. Hands‐on science, construction/engineering/woodwork(having a hand in erecting instead of the usual singing/drama/reading challenges.Having a hand in erecting the new playground would be of interest to the boys.Sometimes academic excellence needs to be balanced with other areas e.g. PEThe ability for my child to compete academically against children from other schools.Very satisfied with academic feedback and support strategies given by teacher to child andparents.Teaching sports will help the kids to learn more team work and to achieve their goals.

Question 8Suggestions and comments for strengthening the school community

Some form of school community event in addition to concerts etc for an  opportunity to mingle.Meeting between parents, to share their ideasA picnic for families or an event once a year to get everyone together.Perhaps a games day with parents involved?More 'fun' days ‐ school cross country was good.Working bees/gala events/fundraising: for families with children at hte school that arefinancially limited.I would love to be involved in PIPS but time available is tight ‐ thank you.A 'morning tea' for all parents and teachers in each classroom at or near the beginning of the year ‐ to get connected with parents new and old and to get to know the teacher.Having a good relationship with the teacher from the beginning of the year would be nice:  before school they are ''in prayer'" and after school they are too busy or ''gone'".  Theteachers seem to be all too often just a 'fleeting glimpse.'"My daughter would love for her dad to come in and see what she does but Dad is at work.  Maybe once a year there could be a night when school is open so students can bring someone who can't make it in school hours, other than parent teacher interview night.At the end of the year ‐ afternoon tea/supper after the concert to encourage fellowship and and promote family atmosphere.Promotion of school choir for students and parents.Family sports Day ‐ could be a fundraising event.

Family get‐together ‐ participate in various sports activities with kids: could provide a meet and greet platform where parents get to know each other better and build relations withteachers and support staff as well.A great initiative to get involved in to increase the school's profile is the "Leadership"  programmes run by the Sir Peter Blake Trust which involve the community as well as  schools.Have a PTA type committee that can liaise with Trustboard/parents to work  on fundraising etc.

(Not chocolates! Perhaps car boot sale, garage sale, gala day.)

Any other general comments or suggestions about how we might serve you better?

Keep up the good workI particularly like how you highlight the 'journey' of ex‐students and how they praise theirearly start to education.Would it be possible to relax the rules a little on having to have sandals with a backstrap?  It can be incredibly difficult to find anything suitable especially for older children. They arealso quite expensive, jandals are a lot cheaper!  If safety is the reason, kids wear jandals all through the summer holidays and have never been a problem.Having more parent/teacher interviews.Email account reminders not mail them.   Could have an open day for potential new students to encourage new enrolments. Put leaflets in local churches or notices in their newsletter.Our association with the school has been very positive and enjoyable and we will be sad as it comes to an end.All in all MCS is a great '"Christian based family" type school with genuine support and great commitment to its community and as parents.it gives us peace of mind knowing our children are safe and getting the very best education.We appreciate the positive role model, atmosphere and biblical input you offer at school.I am thankful for the privilege and opportunity that my child has to be in an environment

of Biblical principals and foundations.  Though it be financially challenging it is worththe sacrifice. I really believe that if she were not in the environment she is, it would be really  difficult.  Without the knowing presence and living of the Holy Spirit in herenvironment, the struggle against flesh would be harder.  But its not of the flesh its of the  Spirit and MCS, Praise God, is a place where His Spirit dwells.  Thank you.Maybe a more aggressive approach to attracting more students instead of just relying on  fundraising for items outside the operating budget?We love this school and thank the Lord for it.  Could we have some sports teams though.More PE ‐ better cardio workouts.Need a facility if it is raining then PE can still be done and not cancelled.  Bring in outside help from the Council/parents.I wish to express my gratitude to two exceptional ladies: Mrs Oosterbeek And Mrs vd Weg ‐ these two ladies are amazing.  They have made my daughter's association with MCS such a pleasure.  Thank you.We're pretty happy with our child's progress and with what's happening at school.  Praise God  for all your hard work with our children's education and well being.  Thank you.Thank you to Mrs Ackermann for the excellent job she is doing.
