Your Transition Year Experience
All students could benefit from the Transition Year Programme
However what a student gets out of Transition Year
depends hugely on the attitude he or she takes to it in the first place. If they are open-minded they are more likely to see and grasp the opportunities.
You reap what you sow . . . . You will get out of Transition Year what you put
into it!!
All students are eligible for Transition Year Students are admitted based on the following criteria:
All students who apply will either be admitted on application or interviewed on application to assess suitability.
The qualities required are that a student be a good team-worker, friendly, well mannered and has the ability to interact in a respectful manner with all the people with whom they will come in contact during the year.
Being accepted into Transition Year is a great privilege.
When a student receives their letter of acceptance into the programme, a deposit of €100 must be paid and their parents/guardians must attend an information evening in order to secure their place.
The programme is supported by the student contribution of €200 (fee to do TY)
In addition to these contributions, the students are asked to provide €250 to cover the cost of the Outdoor Education Trip in Petersburg OEC, Co. Galway. This trip is a compulsory part of our TY programme.
