Dear Middle School Parents,
We are excited, Classroom Without Walls is here! Students and teachers have been
preparing for the week and we are now ready! We will be in contact via email during
the week with updates on each of the grade level experiences, and specically for those
that are staying overnight o campus. Should you have any quesons or concerns
please do not hesitate to contact the Middle School Oce. We look forward to learning
more about and connecng with the Philippines during this week specically the peo-
ple, places, history, culture and the environment. Reecng with your child when they
return from these experiences is important and will hopefully allow you to engage insome rich discussions.
The week aer CWW we have our Middle School Parent Coee on Tuesday February 17
at 7:45 -9:00in the Lile Theater. We will be sharing about what is happening in our
Middle School along with learning about digital cizenship.
Please be reminded that if you should be making alternate arrangements for your child
to be going home with someone else that it is important you inform the Middle School
Oce with the name of the adult that they will be going with (whether this is another
student's family driver, or a parent). By leng us know in advance it helps our security
team when students are leaving the campus. Your cooperaon is very much appreciat-
ed.
Have a great CWW week ahead!
Yours in Educaon,
Simon Gillespie, Middle School Principal

IASAS Tennis at ISManila-Well our fantasc tennis
teams and coaches did it again this year and won
GOLD at IASAS. This is the 4th and 5th championship in
row for the boys and girls tennis teams. A wonderful
achievement acquired through hard work, passion and
a 'never beaten' atude on the court. Congratula-
ons!
IASAS Rugby/Touch/Swimming at ISB-Girls Touch also
had the gold fever by winning this year in Bangkok. A
great eort by all the girls and our coaches and a
ng farewell for Coach Wislang who coached for the
last me at this tournament and was able to add one
more IASAS gold to his collecon. Our boys rugby
team baled hard and played with real spirit placing
4th. Our swim teams also raced hard placing 5th boys
and 4th girls and broke many PB's and ISM school rec-
ords along the way. Thanks to Coach Holly/Hazel and
DJ and all our Bearcat swimmers.
IASAS Basketball at Taipei TAS-Our girls basketball
team had a dream run geng into the nal vs SAS
without losing a match however came up agonizingly 2
pts short in a classic nal. The girls will be even more
determined next year. Our boys team had their chanc-
es and played a good tournament to make the 3/4
playo game but nished in 4th place this year.
Thank you very much to all families for your hospitality
to house our vising tennis athletes. It was a great
event for our community hosted at the best tennisvenue in IASAS. A big thanks also to our parent sup-
porters for each of the teams that traveled and sup-
ported our Bearcats whether overseas or here at
home.
